BBC reporting a deal has been agreed in principle which would see drivers getting a 5% pay rise.

Hopefully this means the end of the current timetable and back to the previously one.

If this doesn't involve a change to the overtime situation then we'll be back here again within 2 years.

It doesn't. By the sounds of it the OT conditions etc are entirely better for the drivers.

By and large the clippys have been sound with people drinking as long as they're not arseholes or overly blatant about it. Out of sight of mind etc. Couple of wankers but you get that anywhere.

I think everyone knew when the 'temp' ban came in it would never again be lifted.

In the short term, will drivers now be advised by ASLEF it’s fine to do overtime again and the regular timetable can be back again next week?

Or is this temp one gonna last another week or two?

They were never advised by ASLEF not to do overtime tbh.

You don’t think anyone believes that all of sudden, all the drivers, with no union involvement, decided to bin off doing overtime?

You can believe what you want. But I'm telling you Aslef had absolutely nothing to do with the decision.

Fair play to them. Hopefully the rest of the public sector follow suit and receive appropriate wage increases.  Mental the disparity between a junior doctor’s salary and a train driver’s.
