Mick Lynch absolutely bodying the craven media all day.

He's really good at it, just puts it back to them to try unsuccessfully to justify the question. As soon as you take them seriously you're fucked, like "It depends what you mean by Marxist..."

£145k Mick, a true man of the people.

Who doesn't give a damn about people losing a few days wages that they can't afford to lose.

You come across as a bit of a dick from time to time Bennett.

Probably but losing 2 days wages could see a lot of people unable to pay for food or bills.

Most unions have a hardship fund where members can go to for money to cover the loss in wages while striking. It might not cover the full loss but those on strike are grown adults capable of making their own decisions, they know full well the implications money wise. The fact they are striking knowing the loss they are taking shows the strength of feeling among them all.

I'm talking about people unable to get to their work because of the strikes.

Don't turn up for your shift, you don't get paid.

This one is ok but I preferred his earlier stuff

I wonder how many Sun and Heil journos are working the nightshift to come up with some dirt.

I'll be very disappointed if it's just a decent house or that he drives a fancy car.

Footage of him singing The Internationale with Corbyn would be thin gruel but good for the gammon rage.

The media are desperate here. That should be a rather obvious indication of the situation.

Would love one of them to be asked what Marxism is.

Inevitably they'll be trying to smear him as much as possible now since he refused to accept their shite, and since theit shite didn't work. Expect some utter nonsense and outright lies from them in the next few days.

Most political journalists just spend their time talking utter crap about bullshit, culture war pish, gossiping about internal splits etc.

There used to be a core of industrial relations journalists who understood their beat. I guess it hasn’t really been a priority for a long while and newsrooms and papers have been cut down to the bone but it seems like there isn’t anyone who can properly analyse and ask questions about the strike and reasons for it.

Anyway, Mick Lynch is just a typical faux-Left syndicalist. The railway unions should be barred from going on strike. Or something.

This and the following tweet just about sum it up. You can almost see the presenters malfunctioning when someone goes off script, doesn't play the usual game and just isn't arsed about getting dragged into the culture war stuff - Gullis just breaking down and resorting to 'eh, but what about veterans or something' was like someone doing a shite, too-obvious parody of a Tory MP.

It really bursts the bubble on the whole thing and exposes how programmed, tedious and generally ridiculous media debates are. Just meaningless soundbite-chasing waffle. Meaningless, irrelevant tabloid nonsense like pointing out his salary as if that means anything or detracts from the overall point.
