Nizzy
Just an exp CB now, if strikers get injured we can recall Nesbit Barton can be deployed as a CB. This could be our whack.
bad chad
Probably costing 2 wages to get him, AND a fee.

Ad Lib
Never heard of this guy. 1. Is he good? 2. On what basis do people seem to think he'll be expensive?
GrahamJags
Assume that we won't be getting Hateley in now then. Looking forward to seeing him play.
Mediocre Pundit
Sounds like he's a deep lying ball playing midfielder. Just what we need given Bannigan and Fraser's injuries. If he can cover in defence in emergencies then fair enough. ETA his career seems pretty unimpressive though, all except one good season years ago at Preston.
Nizzy
Worth noting that the club put centre back before defensive midfielder in its news item. Could be coincidence.
jagfox
He should enjoy his debut against the Farmers https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Barton 6' 3" tall apparently.
jagfox
I guess we may have to go to the free agent market for a centre half? Should we get Nisbet back from Ayr United?

Yeah, hoping he's been brought in as a midfielder that can cover defence rather than the other way around.

He's finally getting gametime so wouldn't want to needlessly bring him back to sit on the bench
Red 'N Yellow
Going by their fans comments he's not a CB, seems to be a decent player though.
Rednyella
http://m.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/14715515.Partick_Thistle_sign_Adam_Barton_from_Portsmouth/ Great bit of business as I have a mate who is a Pompey fan and he is gutted he has left. Says he can play either CM or CB with the midfield being preferred position. Does anyone know what we shelled out? Seeing as we've been told it may be a late night at Firhill and this signing has been done before 9pm, I think we may get one more in the door! Forward? Or a Centre Back? I hope it is the defender as we really need the experience. :-) Archie and his "scouting network" down south know how to keep things in the dark...impressive ;-) This is an exciting transfer window...
Rednyella
Also a 3yr deal and with him being 25 years old, having a full N.I. cap I am sure we told him the Scottish Premiership is a great place for N.I. internationals and a solid stepping stone should he do well. How many N.I. players who play in Scotland got picked for Euros?...at least 5 or 6. Nicely done.
Reid
Pompey fans sound fairly disappointed to be losing him.Reckon we'll still be on the search for a centre back who's a free agent.
