cilitbang
The article from ptfc.co.uk worried me because he seems too good to be true to want to associate with our diddy selves... bolded just a few things that stick out to me.. “Paul Goodwin: A marketer to trade, Paul worked in a range of high profile roles, including Marketing Director for HMV, culminating in establishing his own successful specialist Sport and Entertainment agency. In parallel, he worked on several projects for Partick Thistle pro bono and helped attract three major shirt sponsors over a six year period. His football marketing experience has taken him into working at Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and, most notably, the multi award winning campaign with the England team for Nationwide that ran for ten years. On returning to Scotland in 2005. Paul consulted with the CEO of the SFA to develop a new commercial strategy then went on to run the first major campaign to bring Stirling Albion into community ownership, saving it from liquidation. He ran the club (then in the Championship) for two years. He was then appointed by the Scottish Government to develop fans affairs in Scotland after the demise of Rangers. His expertise and knowledge contributed to the successful community ownership at Heart of Midlothian, Dunfermline Athletic, Annan Athletic. In 2015, he co-founded the SFSA and continues to work with a number of clubs around community ownership. Well-regarded by the Scottish Government, his work forms the basis of current policy in Scotland but Paul has also presented across Europe on this subject. He is the author of two Books Saving the Albion and Saving Scottish Football.” https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-news/an-evening-to-explore-the-good-the-bad-and-the-ugly-of-fan-ownership/ Edited December 13, 2019 by cilitbang

kerly
Anyone wishing to rubbish the consortiums takeover used Barnsley supporters views as a stick to beat them with. The views of Stirling Albion’s fans must surely set some alarm bells ringing on Paul Goodwin

The Barnsley issues have been quite widely written about. Lack of investment, dictating transfer policy, binning an apparently successful manager for allegedly engineering a move to another club and mortgaging part of the ground.
RandomGuy.
Your manager apparently went full *** on the radio the other day. Called Hearts a "provincial club", while mocking Daniel Stendels accent.

JudgeMudge
A lot to be positive about today - bearing in mind that’s supposed to be the second best team in the league. Good CB pairingGood CM pairing

Reid
Great result. I’d still bin most of the squad given the chance. McCall’s working his magic.

Midlife Crisis
So who’s all going to Firhill on Tuesday night to get persuaded that fan ownership is absolutely the correct thing for the club and we should trust everyone in charge of it and not question anything?

Sting777
Wonder if that means Palmer is on his way back to Ibrox! I’m not sure the fans in Kirkcaldy were too complimentary about him.
