Clyde are so far beneath us in every way imaginable. John MacLean Posted June 6, 2019 Share Posted June 6, 2019 You can't artificially create something that doesn't exist. There's been times when there has been a bit of needle between the two teams. It was at its height probably when they ground shared at Firhill and kept beating us (I think it was 16 games in a row against Clyde without a win) but most of the time they've been nothing more than an irritant. It was irritating to lose to them and to see how much pleasure they got from that but there was never any great sense of elation when we beat them. I guess we look at Clyde in much the same way the arse cheeks look at us. We lack a proper rival among our peers and that's a bit crap but not as crap as trying to fashion one out of nowhere. Let these things develop naturally. For goodness sake the last time we played Clyde in anything meaningful the current CEO of the SFA scored an own goal to give Clyde a 1-0 win.
