The Partick Thistle thread

Newspaper articles aren’t evidence *facepalm* They’re opinions and agendas to bring in views, that give morons like RG a hard-on so they think they can be ITK because they read a newspaper article before others..

Couilbaby is already my POTY after this jealous-fest

Thank you for that. If it was a week's wage no-one would be bothered, but ...

Ah yes, that well known beacon of fairness the Egyptian justice system.

Is Fifa not the arbiter in this case, rather than contract law in Egypt?

Hmmm...there's a Malian footballer named Soulymane Coulibaly (born 1996) who's owed $91,000 by Club Africain in Tunisia following a ruling by FIFA's Dispute Resolution Chamber. Surely his can't have resulted in a situation where the Ivorian Coulibaly thinks he's owed cash and is free to play...

Has anyone unearthed a link to the CAF/FIFA ruling on our Ivorian forward?

That would be absolutely fantastic.

I've got nothing against Partick Thistle, there fans seem like good blokes but it would be sensational if the above was the case.

We appear to be teetering on the brink of either confirming we are a badly-run shambles by belatedly attempting to sign a striker who (as other clubs had already sussed out) can't play, in a desperate attempt to boost our threadbare squad after a summer of transfer inactivity,

OR

pulling off a signing with the ability to transform our season, and which has incidentally  already raised seethe levels to the height of the Great Pyramid of Giza among fans of other clubs (including the Super Js, apparently, even though we're no longer in the same division and Cerny is no longer our goalie).

I wonder which way this one will fall?

Egyptian courts are probably the arbiter over allegations of conduct concerned with being "persecuted" "for his beliefs" rather than FIFA.

Archibald thinks he has signed a 21 year old defender.

Coulibaly's rant has been taken down from Youtube.

A guy on WAT says if you paused it you could see the actual document says a partial ruling in favour of the club, less a partial ruling in favour of Coulibaly for unpaid wages.

Shit. Storm.

Absolute peak banter years if we’ve got the wrong Coulibaly. Up there with anything Rangers have come up with in the past few years.

I’m oddly confident that we’ll be alright with this whole thing, though. If not, surely we have to punt Boring Gerry for gross negligence.

This is vintage Thistle.

All the stuff that Coulibaly was stating in his video sounds very similar to the ruling made for his namesake.

To arms, lads.  Congratulations to one of the champions on WAT for their positive spin on this. Yes, Thistle is so flush with cash it can talk Fifa around or simply flip a million at a problem. Whatever the problem turns out to be. :bag

You're not going to get the actual CAS report as it isn't public. Coulibaly has been out the game for over a year for a reason.
