Ironic we didn't keep him or McKinstry around and we've ended up playing a system with 2 attacking mids theyd probably do well in. Oh irony

Stats don’t tell the whole story but they’re certainly pretty underwhelming on the face of it, 12 league games 0 goals and only 2 assists in a mid table team in league 2. Feels like he would need to be doing a lot more to justify a place in our team.

I don’t know how accurate transfermarkt is for League 2, but this covers his 12 league appearances.

In a way change is good, and needed, but such a swing smacks of desperation. Hope it gets a reaction!

Based on his interview the other day I didn't think Kettlewell would play Butcher or Biereth today. Glad to see them

Blaney could be left back, left of a two or left of a three, once that is clear the rest of the team will fall into place.

Butcher into midfield maybe? An extremely narrow 4-3-3? Would be bold given Killie’s wide players but can’t see how we function with just spittal and Paton in the middle.

There's surely no way we're only playing two in the middle so Butcher there and whatever four behind him seems likely.

It's a bold call that can make or break a manager because if you go radical and get no reaction then you really are in bother...

I said before I'd have tweaked rather than ripping it up for another couple of games so personally not convinced it's quite the right call today. We'll see!

Bair and Biereth up top is a decent partnership I think.

Bair isn't much of a goal threat, but hep rvides the press etc.

Would have preffered Miller in there, but obv injured. Had a night to forget on Wed.

Would have persevered with Slattery.
