MONKMAN
How did Chilemba get up from that?
pittsburgh phil
Sickening punches from Kovalev, Chilemba showing some heart though
Marshmallo
Gave it to Kovalev by 3 points, potentially could've been wider. Real off night for Kovalev, I think he'll look better against Ward but I'll be picking SOG in that one. -
pittsburgh phil
Kovalev looked sluggish. Ward must be absolutely delighted with what he's seen. Some serious flaws in Kovalev's style shown up tonight, though I agree he'll turn up much better on the night.
J_Stewart
First time I've ever been unimpressed with big Kov. Had it 116-111, but a couple of those were close rounds. Looked slow, ponderous and not particularly fit, like he'd maybe only gone half assed in his prep. Would be amazed if he was in such poor form against Ward. The power is still outrageous as well. Fair play to Chilemba though, knew he was awkward, but he has a hell of a chin and heart on him too. More Monday night fights please!
MONKMAN
Big Kov announced after the fight that he was donating his purse to the family of Roman Simakov. That was the last time he fought at the venue. Nice touch from the big man.
Gianfranco
Nice gesture indeed. Do we think fighting in that venue may have put him off a bit mentally?
ICTChris
Looks like Joshua is going to fight Bermande Stiverene before his mandatory, Joseph Parker.
paisleysaints
Big Kov saying he will sick during camp. with the big fight looming he must've had one eye on that. I see Bellew is back to his gobsh*te best on skysports.
Marshmallo
Looks like Joshua is going to fight Bermande Stiverene before his mandatory, Joseph Parker. Good fight, Stiverne is tough as they come and is experienced at the top level. Fringe top 10 I'd say. Better than Wilder fighting dross like Arreola. -
GiGi
Interested in tickets for Brook v GGG. If you signed up for fight pass at such short notice do you still get access to their priority sale? Believe it's Thursday for them.

Super_A
Tell them to sort his defence out, he was far to easy to hit against Takam, Joshua would kill him with straight right hands.
MONKMAN
People need to remember Takam is no pushover and that Joshua's defence isn't all that great either Rule 1 of the boxing thread - Nothing negative can be said about Anthony Joshua
Boostin' Kev
I thought Parker looked pretty bad against Takam tbh. Hate seeing a bad defence and fighters gassing early.

Boostin' Kev
Takam was more of a challenge anyone Joshua has fought so far.
The Chlamydia Kid
I generally hate catchweights but this is the sort of occasion where it can be justified by every sceptic. Is agree with that. Hate catch weights and the way Pacquiao manipulated them through his financial pull. However I would have liked this to be at 155.
