The two finalists came in on the same day, what a joint transfer that was. 2 exceptional players who have contributed so much, worth every penny and then some. Dave Mackay is the winner by the way.

Not sure, not been alive to witness all 100 odd years. Maybe best transfer, not the best business outlay though, McD will surely come in high on that list, but again can't comment on St Johnstones whole lifespan as there's bound to be things there that hardly get mentioned. -

You on a downer? Getting Liam Gordon for nothing is our greatest business surely

Savage Henry
Give Cleland the job on a twenty year deal. What a man. #packruleHe and the player behind him clearly forgot to bring a Christmas jumper, and had to pop into Primark for whatever was left.

RandomGuy.
Have to say, for all the criticism of Holt, I thought he was superb yesterday.
RandomGuy.
We now average 1.3 goals conceded per 90 with Liam Gordon in the team. If you factor in the 4-0 defeat to Rangers was heavily influenced by us going absolute baws oot and losing the head late on, you could argue it would drop down to 1. Without him, its 2.3 per game. If you go full "if my auntie had baws", and half the amount of goals we conceded per game, we'd be 10pts better off...
perthsaint1977
Liam Gordon is a great talker and organiser and was sorely missed when injured. His influence on Kerr is huge. We will still bring in another CB in January but between now and then let's hope both Kerr and Gordon can stay clear of any injuries and we can get 6 or 7 points from these 3 upcoming games
PauloPerth
Yes. Liam G has looked solid and reliable since coming back in. But more than that, as PS1977 says, look at the difference in Jason Kerr's performances the past two matches. Having someone he trusts and knows how to play alongside beside him let's him focus on doing his own job, rather than charge about everywhere trying to do everyone else's as well. Agree with RG, Holt has looked far better in the past two matches. Doing simple things well rather than trying far too much. Can anyone remember at roughly what stage in the second half Booth made that brilliant block, seemed to be really awkward the way he went for it, from a Hearts cross? Just want to watch it back to see if it was as good as it looked at the time. Had forgotten about it until Tommy mentioned it in his post match interview.

tree house tam
Can I join the Big Sexy Liam fan club lads? No surprise the defence looks a lot better with the best defender at the club in the side.
