Carlos Alberto
Meadowbank had a few interesting bits Tam. The triangles below the floodlight that were actually access to the subterranean toilets. A scoreboard that had Olympic pedigree, having been bought from the LA Colliseum. There was a space below the first few rows of seats, accessed from a hatch at the side, that was used for storage too. Always thought the commentary thing was too big a cock up to be true, but I was never over the far side to see if the Windows were visible. There's some footage of Thistle v Morton from 87 or 88 on youtube. A very good example of the grainy picture we had to put up with back in the day - maybe it's a good thing that a team containing Stevie Logan, Watty Boyd etc wasn't filmed in UHD 4k. Talking of drunk incompetents, there's been a few on that pitch over the years!

Bring Your Own Socks
No match thread in the Cups forum so here will do. All the best tonight lads. You'll physically match their long ball game and you've more skill. If the strikers do their bit it's yours to win. We'll take care of Peterhead while your away.
Jan Vojáček
All the best today lads. Connah's Quay are a disgraceful football team and I wish them nothing but the worst in every game they play. The whole of Dumbarton (and Mount Florida, and Grangemouth) are with you. Is Danny Handling fit yet by the way?

Definition of a diddy cup - one from which the team you support has already been knocked out.

an86
Long journey up the road for the nonce after missing his penalty. That's a sin.
AllyMonc
Horrible game played on a horrible pitch, like a throwback to the 1980s but somehow much fucking grimmer. Hope Ross County win the final 18-0.

Looking forward to seeing how shambolic this final is. CQ don't have any fans and certainly not many who'll travel to Scotland. If they've any sense, which they don't, they'll play it at Caley and try to pack it out with County fans.
