G-MAN
Quick Q. I wanted to double check something so watched a walkthrough for help on you tube. However, I did watch an earlier part of the game coincidentally due to the fact I had not experienced the scene (not realising it was an earlier chapter)Is the game that big from an early stage that you just aren’t going to experience everything ?
Loki
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/world-us-canada-54548467 Dumb bugger should have had a sawn off shotgun with explosive rounds for any cougar emergency. There's something quite satisfying when you're left with a ruined cougar corpse.

They are so annoying in Red Dead Online, they never stalk you though just straight charge, I know a spot where they are guaranteed to spawn online so can farm up the perfect pelts. SANTAN
Just on this for the first time in a wee while. They've removed the daily streaks so you cant accumulate gold and need to buy it with IRL money. Rockstar are the biggest scumbags ever when it comes to milking games. They'll undoubtedly give us some new cosmetic items to make up for it..
Homer Thompson
I've bought this again for the PC. It looks absolutely amazing Theres not a huge amount of mods but I did find a fast travel one and, even better, a save from just after the tedious snow tutorials

Enjoying it on PC, it looks fucking lovely. Just playing the story - read mixed reports about online-is it any good?

Thought Id try and do things a bit better this time, now I know how to do hunting, camp chores etc. In my first hour, I fell off a cliff, crashed my horse, started a fight in Valentine by mistake and watched a bear scare off a wolf. Fuckin love this game! I tried online once on PS4. Riding around was fine but when I had to go do a mission it was pish. But I hate online games in general

It's alright online, if you enjoy casual gaming then it's awesome, enough things to do it's just like free roaming but online, if you're wanting something completely different or fast paced then it's a let down, nowhere near as much expansions as GTA but there are some cool businesses and roles you can do that offline doesn't really touch like Moonshine business with an underground bar.

How much of the missions do you actually have to do online?I quit enjoyed the free roaming but then you can do that in game

There are some "missions," with a new storyline which is quite fun but nothing near the level of the offline. I enjoy the businesses because you do them at your own pace. One business you provide skins to a guy at your camp and he manufactures goods to sell on so with that there is no onus to do more than you want. The moonshine business is good fun, you get a new story with missions all related to that which are very well done, closer to the offline stuff Bounty Hunting is the best for missions because they released specialist bounties I think they did 1 a week for 2 months. If you own all of these you can balance your time so it feels like free roam with a little bit of overall progress.. HOWEVER Everything costs gold so getting in now would be akin to doing a 9-5 job trying to earn the gold unless you put actual money in.

Beautiful game.

Of course different styles of game, I wouldn't say the story or voice acting and characters are as good but the actual visuals and gameplay is better for me.
Homer Thompson
I managed to get the complete satchel set this time round Almost finished the whole camp, just a couple of goats and a moose to go. Who knew a moose would be so difficult to find
Loki
It’s trying to get the perfect panther pelt for the satchel. That b*****d thing would only ever spawn behind me, and you’d hear the spine tingling meow and you’d be getting chomped by it. In an absolute blind panic, you’d blast it with your sidearm and the explosive shell leaves you with a ruined panther corpse that isn’t worth anything.

I still need two for the camp upgrade and 3 bow kills for the hunter level.Once you get over the initial panic it's not too bad. The mistake I made before was trying to use a rifle with a scope then panicking when they got close. Using the bow sounds scary but it's actually not too bad. Aim and use dead eye straight away then take it out.I almost got killed by one the other night as it spawned across the road then I spotted it running downstairs the road chasing a rabbit. I was still sitting thinking "wow, what a game" when it gave up on the rabbit and came for me!I also tried sitting up on a high rock so I could take one out on the path below. Fucker snuck up right behind me and I completely fluked a one shot for a perfect pelt
Loki
It’s when you try and kill the cougar in dead eye and you realise that you equipped the varmint rifle as before you were trying to pick up a perfect badger You deserve to be eaten then
