JMDP
Good win for Atleti today to put them 2 points off top with a game in hand. 22 La Liga games unbeaten now. Again, Joao Felix was incredible. -
charger29
Was going to say Messi's last 6 goals have been penalties but he's just went and scored from open play for the first time since mid-September.

JMDP
Atletico going top last night with a game in hand, excellent 4-0 win against Cadiz who had only conceded 6 all season before the game. Suarez and Felix top scorers in la liga with Felix the league's outstanding player so far. Edited November 8, 2020 by JMDP
peasy23
Valencia go 4-1 up against Real Madrid with a hat trick of penalties by Soler. He missed one earlier too, but scored the retake after a VAR intervention. Gets worse for Real, Benzema limped off holding his groin.

Sergio Ramos, Marcelo and Lucas Vazquez all concede penalties for Real Madrid at Valencia. The only defender who did not was Raphael Varane, who instead scored an own goal. Theroadlesstravelled
Chelsea's German defender Antonio Rudiger, 27, is keen on joining Barcelona in the January transfer window after falling out of favour at Stamford Bridge. (Sport, via Metro) Barcelona will be in the doldrums for a while yet while shite signings like this.

Granny Danger
Barca are a shadow of the team they were a few season back. Some of the new ‘stars’ are nowhere good enough.
JMDP
Big win for Atletico, that. One of the poorest performances of the season, but deserved the win just about. -

Massive result, last season a performance like that would have resulted in a draw. I think it must have been at a game about this time last season and bizarrely ended up sitting next to a chav from Edinburgh.

He looked more dangerous the 10 minutes or so he was on than Griezmann did the whole game. I reckon it will be a minimum of four seasons before Barca are anywhere near challenging for the league title.
JMDP
Alaves 2 up away to Real at the moment. Decent watch with Madrid looking atrocious at the back. Absolute howler from Courtois for the second. Atletico take unbeaten league run to 25 earlier with 1-0 win away to Valencia. Only 2 goals conceded in 9 games so far and joint top of the league with games in hand. Villareal-Real Sociedad should be decent tomorrow. La Real are one of my favourite teams to watch at the moment.

In deep shit for qualification if they lose tonight. Then at the Bernabeu on Saturday night, massive game. If they can emerge through this month relatively unscathed its shaping up nicely for a sneaky wee crack at the title. If they could get a win on Saturday they'd be in a stunning position.
JMDP
Routine win for Atletico today. Seven straight league wins, 26 unbeaten and only 2 goals conceded in 10 games this season - not a bad start. Huge derby match next week. Good to see Barca losing in such hilarious fashion again today as well.
