Honestly wouldn't be surprised if some idiot Tory on QT etc would come away with " The UK will be performing better than Canada, Italy, Japan, France are currently, and even with Germany were in 2014-16,"

Or if you are fro UKIP you will be accused of "talking down Blighty.  All them experts have got it wrong so far with their predictions."

Have to say I'm a bit dubious about Germany doubling their growth to 17/19 from 14/16 and to Chinese levels. Might have misunderstood the data.

It's surely compound rather than annual.  Germany grew 2.9% in 2017 and there is absolutely no possibility of them making it an annualised 6%+ in the remaining time.

Are they the same experts that predicted all the doom if we voted leave?

Let’s say that objectively their latest predictions are accurate, does it matter what they said prior to the vote?

Other than politicians with an agenda I’m struggling to think of anyone who has either challenged the analysis posted above or offered detailed alternative analysis.

No, they're the ones that predicted doom if we Brexited.  Which we haven't yet.  Still we're well on our way with the lowest economic growth, lowest wage growth and weakest economy in the western world.

There's no doubt the UK has gone very 1930s Germany.  You see signs of it all the time.

Exclusive: EU rejects Theresa May's Brexit Irish border solution as doubts grow over whether UK can leave customs union

Don't say you weren't told.

Am I right in saying that the transition period can't start without an agreement for the Irish border being in place?
