Tertiary education will go from the position it is now ie the norm to the pursuit of only the elite and wealthy. But this is a sustained removal of market demand and therefore the price should drop until things recover but if exporting to the EU turns out to be long term too complicated then the price will be cheap until demand in Great Britain rises. I would be a bit more diplomatic and say that the older generation don't feel able to contribute to change which will benefit entire future generations, and so concentrate on being able to look after their own descendants.
