How long's he been typing in ALL CAPS, like your elderly grandpa after he got his first computer?

Perhaps he's developed a rare eye condition.

Dryhorce turning out to be The Donald would be the greatest moment in P&B history IMHO TBQHWY

Trump would never admit to having a rare eye condition. A sign of weakness.

Anything to do with Trump gives me the boak, but I confess to a bit of concern that the trial is taking place in Florida. No justice system is perfect but I do wonder if a rabid republican of Trump's power fame and influence will ever be found guilty there.

No worry, it’s a Federal Court in Florida, specifically the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. All appeals from this fiasco go to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit…and appeals from there go to the Supreme Court of the United States.

Appeals from the District Court are normally heard by a three judge panel selected from the Circuit judges, but in this case an En Banc hearing would be more likely (all judges). The current selected by composition of the 11th is 1 Ford, 1 Carter, 1 Reagan, 3 Bush Sr., 3 Clinton, 1 Bush Jr., 4 Obama, 6 Trump and 1 Biden.

Appeals from the 11th Circuit are handled by Justice Thomas, who is the gatekeeper to the Supreme Court for quick decisions, but an appeal in this case would certainly be immediately accepted if there was any question(s) on any of the decisions or actions. At both the Circuit and Supreme Court levels, rather than a new trial, attorneys for both sides present cases in a short, formal hearing and then the Judges/Justices consider that, and the entire trial record, and issue a ruling.

The open question would be if either side would risk a jury trial. With the selected judge (Cannon), Trump is likely to be happy with a non-jury trial, but she’s a legal nut job, and gets regularly overturned like a compost pile. The prosecution would likely agree to non-jury to remove some of the discretion that jurors have that judges do not.

This is the epitome of a cult of personality. It's remarkable watching this in real time.

He's literally walked out of court, into a Cuban cafe in Miami and is turning it into a dog and pony show, perfect performance and free publicity.

Unreal stuff.

He's stoating about a cafe in Miami right now getting publicly blessed by a priest and a Rabbi.

I'm not even fucking kidding either.

Missed out on the Islamic, Hindu and Confucian support, eh? Appears a pre-planned stop with supporters in place. The choice of priest and Rabbi could backfire if they’re not the “right” type.

Trump's gopher Walt Nauta, who's being indicted too, didn't even have a lawyer, so he's got to come back in a couple of weeks. Go Donald, man of the people!

Even better, Trump is ordered not to talk of the case to Nauta or any other witness. That means there are now dozens of people that can report Trump on contempt of court…but I’m betting he’ll say something on Social Media that will be considered a violation.

He told the crowd at Cafe Versailles “food for everyone”…waiting for the report he didn’t pay. Reports the “Rabbi” is actually one of the Jews for Jesus evangelical Christian group, that’s likely to play poorly with the Jewish support.

ETA: Trump lawyer Alina Habba addressed the press, calling the justice system and courts corrupt…way to win over those judges! Also, Kari Lake spotted outside Courthouse…Melania is in New York, despite reports on Fox she’s in Miami.

It's all part of the plan to slow this down as much as possible so that come election time, he can argue that it must be suspended until post election, which he thinks he will win and pardon himself.

We are going to the the politics equivalent of taking the ball into the corner and going down injured.

There will be a huge disconnect between his public bluster and his private feelings.  It must be eating him up inside now he’s totally out of control of a situation that he cannot buy our bully his way out of.

However delusional he is he must know the strength of the evidence against him and be mortified by the photos showing where these documents were stored.  Hopefully many sleepless nights in the months ahead.

Saw some reporters saying that this was a good move as these are the images that will be shown and likely remembered afterwards rather than the artist depictions of him sitting, scowling in a court room.

ETA: Definitely not a cult...

No doubt that he'll be hoping to punt this off into the long grass, but I'm not so sure he's ever thought he'd win the presidency. He started ranting about rigged elections way before he won in 2016 as a cushion for when he lost. His thin skin and comical defensiveness implies that he's well aware of his own inadequacy.

This does genuinely seem like something he's going to struggle to escape from, so I wonder if there'll be a eventual withdrawal from the race in favour of a candidate who privately pledges to pardon him.

Trump has only one chance, to taint the jury pool to the extent that an objective jury cannot be sworn in.  I do not think that will happen.

If the jury is even close to impartial then the evidence and the law will prevail.

The use of the espionage act is key, even if the jurors buy into his declassification bullshit it becomes immaterial.

I don’t think he’s stupid enough to go on the stand but I hope I’m wrong.
