Some on here say gormley our worst this season over looking Mcniff who is on comparison with the Mcdowells and Mccheynes. Nae joke. Todays game. Was that the same guy who shouted that the players were a disgrace to the shirt? If it was, I was seated near him and have never heard such damning negative moans throughout the whole game. We could have put a bit of pressure on Forfar had we won today instead they can now extend their lead with their game in hand. It is strange that Flynn can't get off the bench especially when some of the first eleven are having a poor game. Think he can do a job for us so hoping this is not another player that Ferguson has decided he doesn't like who will rot away on the bench for a number of weeks before disappearing altogether. It'll be the shame chap who, at Berwick, went ballistic at Ferguson for not having more players attacking a corner, when anyone with half a brain could see it was a training ground move that players came in from outside the box to attack it. McNiff played his by far his worst game in a Clyde shirt. No mean feat given how rotten he's been.McNeil was poor. Higgins was very good today at swinging his leg in frustration and throwing his arms in the air. Have you ever seen a forward so often caught on his heals? I've no idea why he gets a game. I'd even rather have Gormley playing in his position as he would at least move defenders about with his large bottom.Only players to get pass marks from me were Gormley (yes, Gormley) and Scott Tiffoney. Their defence totally bullied us from start to finish, We looked like we could have played all day without threating where cowden had little of ball but caused more panic in back line. Injuries, Three subs & lack of players on bench to change it killing us. Very obvious today when S Ferguson our best option who aint ready or close. If Muirhead had started it probably would have been much more comfortable for Cowden. Renton won almost every header and deservedly won MoM. if it's any comfort for Clyde fans, the goal was the sort of goal which was scored against us every week in the first quarter. Finally it is surely time for the Scottish League to lay down minimum standards that can be expected at league grounds. The goal was well worked - McGurn gathered the ball and Ross set off on a lung bursting run from deep in his own half. McGurn saw him and kicked long and hard - the Clyde defender couldn't get to the ball as it landed and Ross ran on bravely to beat the Clyde goalkeeper to the ball despite his lack of inches and head the ball perfectly back and across before the keeper clattered him. Renton then nodded home in fine style. Thus a well made goal - a long ball move that works well is a good move.
