NotThePars
Thoughts and prayers with all Scottish political 'journalists', especially Stephen Daisley, at this difficult time. Interesting adjective for Lovecraftian monstrosity Daisley to use there. “Gurgled”

Interesting to see if she resigns her seat. I doubt it. A by-election in Edinburgh Central would see the SNP parachute in Angus Robertson and almost certainly take the seat easily. Combined with the result in Shetland tomorrow that could well mean an SNP majority in the Scottish parliament. Davidson will hold on with her fingernails for as long as possible.

Kuro
Davidson is an ultra British nationalist, who has long been handled and guided by British intelligence as she is viewed as the best bet of preventing Scottish statehood. This course of action will have been decided for her, as the best strategy for minimising the damage to her reputation in the eyes of Scottish people to keep her untainted for the expected referendum on the horizon. In the same way they distanced her from the Rape Clause etc, they are trying to put distance between her and the damaging policies of her party. She will be championed now as some defender of the union and an attempt will be made to engage in populism similar to that which won Brexit with her as the figurehead of some new movement which won't be new at all but will allow them to unburden her of all the negative connotations of a no deal brexit, that's all that's going on here. She will either become a Lib Dem, form a new grouping like the wallopers down south or the 'Scottish' Tories will pretend they are in any way different to the scum down south and she will be their detoxified figurehead.

The old boot will hopefully be on the gin again and continuing to sign whatever’s put in front of her.
topcat(The most tip top)
She only won it from the SNP in the first place because the Greens are fools and stood.I live in Edinburgh centralCriticising the greens for running a green candidate in a constituency with a relatively large number of people who are inclined to vote green seems a bit harsh. Rather than splitting the Pro-Indy vote they appear to have picked up most of their vote from well meaning recycling, academic disproportionately English former Lib Dem’s in neighbourhoods like Marchmont. The rise in the Tory vote seems to have been people that didn’t vote in 2011. Many would put this down to having a candidate with national profile but an alternative theory is that people with money in the New Town started giving a toss about holyrood the moment it had tax raising powers
Benjamin_Nevis
It would be a fitting epitaph to Davidson's pointlessness if the Tories were to clean up in a GE thanks to English votes, but get utterly pulverised in Scottish constituencies. As for Davidson herself, she merits absolutely no respect. She's a lying, snivelling fat (sorry Pandarilla) c**t. She's had no problem tweeting outright lies, courting the more extreme elements of Unionism and has long had the protection of the MSM. f**k her, and the horse she rode in on. Also, Jackson Carlaw or Murdo Failure as the next leader would be a complete gift

Granny Danger
Davidson is going to let Johnson off the hook by citing family commitments as her primary reason for resigning. It is total cowardice.
