I agree, but Davidson left us with some long contracts on older players. There’s still money there but don’t think they’ll waste it.
Maybe next time round we can shock your high flying St Mirren team lol. Livi, County, Motherwell, Dundee all in our range. You can focus on catching Rangers (doubtful) and the Scottish Cup.

For what it's worth I reckon you'll end up above Livi.

Yet before midweek Carson had let in 10 goals...the same as Hemmings.

That one game against Rangers on Wednesday is doing a lot of heavy lifting.

You’re post is a total irrelevance!

Had Carson been our keeper this season we’d have conceded more goal than we have. Had Hemming been yours you’d have conceded less.

That’s because Hemming is good and Carson is a liability.

That’s what is relevant!

Superb news. Lifetime contract I reckon.

Always stuck in my craw a bit the way he left. I thought he deserved another year given how important he'd been for us and everything he'd done. So, it's good to see him back. A terrific role model for young players too and a great ambassador for the club.

All three brothers represented our club with pride but Stephen proved to be a class above.

Stephen galvanised our side during his second spell from relegation certainties to champions the following season.

Will we see a future generation of McGinn’s play for our team?

What a footballing DyNAsty his parents produced for our club.

There can’t be many top flight sides in the world who had 3 brothers play for the same club.

Welcome home skipper!

Without a doubt, John was the best player of the three.

Stephen though and his contribution to the club, particularly in the second spell means he's one of the most beloved players to have donned the stripes in this century. Some players transcend just ability for their contribution and Stephen is one of those people.

He belongs at St. Mirren and it's really good seeing him back where he should be.

I doubt that.  Certainly John went on to be a tremendous player but during their times at St Mirren Stephen was the more influential and important player.  John is the most naturally gifted footballer of the three but Stephen was the better player for our club.
