Somehow scrapping into the Premiership and still having Laszlo as manager would be the very definition of bitter sweet.

Ach, who am I kidding.  If we get promoted I’ll just murder him.

Get your priorities right GD - Trump first, then Laszlo.*

* If your planning on doing murder anyway....

Just looked at last season's table, and we have more points this campaign.

We're going up, aren't we?

Were we to finish second, with more points, then, objectively measured, this season can be deemed a resounding success?

I would hate to know what failure feels like.

Yeah slightly odd feeling atm. Frustrated as much as anything though. For all the shite play we've somehow managed to still be in the play off positions with a shout of being 2nd come the seasons end.

The game against Livi could be huge.

The designed play off final defeat to the Dees is still on.

God help us all.

No it would still be a failure. Just trying to lighten the mood slightly.

I do think finishing 2nd would be a lift after an awful season post Christmas (again), meaning we don't need to play 6 games to get promoted.

The only way this season will be remotely acceptable is if we go up.

Aye..but it'd be odd in the sense that finishing 2nd and not going up would be failure but finishing 4th and going up would be success. Such is life.

For a team like Falkirk 2nd without promotion is success.

Going up any way is the only acceptable outcome for Dundee United.

I was hoping we'd have 2nd wrapped up but you lot have started winning at the right time. Not going to make it to that game so I'll be a mixture of gutted and raging if that's the decider.

Yeah, that's right, because Dundee United are a really big club, despite having facilities at their ground that makes Cappielow look upmarket.

Deliberately designed to make opposition teams bottle their opportunity to win the league at Tannadice IMO.

I don’t think Tannadice is too bad; is it?

We we’re never a ‘big club’, however we were a club that certainly overperformed for many years, particularly on the European stage albeit at a time when financial domination wasn’t as prevelant as now.

We will never get those days back but don’t deny us our nostalgia.

My comment was tongue in cheek mate, don't think anyone would think this a successful season. It is unbelievable that we are on the verge though of bettering our points total and placing from last season despite the utter manure served up in the last few months.

The play off against dundee is written in the stars. It's happening.

And in Africa, apparently.

Nigerian slang for a fool or an idiot.

It is believed to have originated after Dundee United played several friendlies in Nigeria in 1972.

The tour was a disaster - and the term 'Dundee United' had been used ever since to describe someone of low intelligence among Lagos's Yoruba-speaking population.
That guy wearing the day-glo orange jersey, he's a real Dundee United

I think the author's name suggests this might not be entirely legit.
