However since then the Blues have been given a chasin. St mirren took advantage of some awful defending and deservedly go in 3-1 at half-time. Partick looked as though they may have been lacking fitness as Carrick, Mullen, Pittman, Byrne and Jacobs didn't stop at all. LIVIFOREVER Posted July 15, 2017 Share Posted July 15, 2017 Defence was at 6's and 7's early on, we got away with slack defending a few minutes before Gallagher got caught on the ball and then turned inside out for the opener. Pitts should've equalised just before HT though and didn't see what was wrong with our disallowed goal either. Same ref as our midweek friendly with Sunderland and just as bad a performance. Cracking goal from Keaghan to finally get our first goal of the season, bit disappointed we didn't take all 3 points though, at least we got the bonus point, Alexander is class. Sloppy opening 20 mins or so but showed enough to blow Stranraer away in a 15 minute spell before half time and the 4th goal killed it as a spectacle.Liked the look of McShane and Stewart, Reilly had a great game too. Looks confident and showed great touches and held the ball up well. Don't know if Buchanan switched off for the goal but he had a decent game.4-1 away from against any team can't be sniffed at, going by last season performances can come second to results as long as we qualify.
