+ Profit or loss based on information in the Going Concern note

if these figures are correct in 29 years the club have spent £8,163,334 more than they brought in. An average loss of £281, 494 per season .

I dread to think what the actual figures would be at Ross County if we ever got to see them.

The genuine naivety from some fans sitting on their soapboxes is astounding. Caley are admittedly a club that ran at losses but these were covered by directors through loans or occasionally writing off, the situation now has arisen due to these loans now being called in and nobody willing to administer more cash due to some poor management of costs and decisions. Much of this scenario is analogous to other clubs who are doing the same - infact there are very few Scottish clubs turning profits or are actually sustainable in current form - therefore only a similar decision from entering this state (infact likely a shorter list of those not carrying that risk). Probably a good time for some fans to dig into their own clubs finances and who/how its being run.

Collectively the 30 or so clubs that have played in leagues 1 and 2 at any time in the last 10 years lost around £4.1M in 2022/23, up from the £3.8M the year before. Only two made (tiny) profits, although another two showed an increase in shareholders' funds due to money being thrown at them. Eight had negative shareholders' funds, so technically trading insolvently. Collectively their long-term debts (repayable in more than a year) were over £17M. Eleven had negative liquidity i.e. no cash or assets that could be immediately turned into cash to pay for their daily bills. (So anyone doing business with them in real danger of not getting paid, or paid very late.) Several relying on loans or promises from directors, which could quickly be called in. (Looks likely that south of the border such loans will in future have to be accounted for at commercial rates for financial fair play purposes.)

Referring to us by our proper name too. Get him back in as manager.

He's doing a great job as Paul Caddis's number 2 at Hereford.

Still playing occasionally too!

Top man.
