Junior football, what is the future?

I'm not forgetting them or overlooking them.

I just feel the responsibility to create a WOSFL lies up the chain.

It's with Clydebank for voting for joining the pyramid and investigating it.

It's with Cumnock and Petershill who decided it was in their interests to get a licence. Having them decide status quo or a change with access to licencing.

Top of the pile Kilwinning. They had a EoS West Division as an agenda topic for discussion once upon a time. They should maybe organise a meeting considering the landscapes changed once again.

As the details of the PWG breaking up have emerged we will now need to look at where the future of Pyramid football is for us, at the time we removed it from the agenda as the SJFA voted to join the pyramid but now this is off the table we'll be looking at other options.

Would love to have a forward thinking ambitious club like you in an inaugural wosl!

Perhaps we need a football philanthropist / major sponsor to come forward and throw some money into a WoSFL initiative.

If say £50K was thrown into the pot as prize money for the opening season would it provide an attractive carrot for some clubs?

Surely the League Sponsor would get some national publicity for kick-starting the new initiative?

Win Win ?

As I imagine will be several if not many other West Region clubs.

It's now clear someone is lying to the West club's at the West meeting they told the club's that option Z was what the SFA and the LL wanted only the EOSL was against it now we know this is a complete lie ! If TJ told the West region this he should be kicked out of office if he didn't say this then the West region committee should all resign from office. That twice they have lied to the club's they also said last year we would we in the pyramid now . Juniors officials in office can no longer be trusted and should step down with immediate effect.

Who's this TJ character then that people are talking about?

Is it that nice guy who represents all that the once great Juniors stood for or is it the person who is unable to change with the times and seems to "misunderstand" his role completely. He could have had control of the semi-pro scene if he'd had his wits about him all those years ago when the Pyramid first came along.

Ah! Well! No he couldn't just see that. It also seems to me that, having been embarrassed into holding a Pyramid Survey, he failed to carry out the instructions of the Junior clubs when they responded favourably to the Pyramid a couple of years ago.

Shame in some ways but now he'll be left calculating just how many current Juniors have to depart before his job becomes unaffordable to those which remain.

In any case he is there to provide clubs with accurate neutral information so that they came make informed decisions about their individual and collective futures. Shame that reports indicate that, at best, he simply failed to do this. At worst ……… I suspect we shall soon see the outcome of this.

When I found out that Option Z was the preferred option I was gobsmacked. It was never ever going to pass.

Then clubs should make sure that there are good quality replacements ready to stand up and be counted.

Having said that why bother? Just have these good people organised and waiting a little longerand be ready to  put themselves forward to help with the new WoS.

Hopefully put pressure on the board to act. Hearing some clubs are meeting tonight individually, cant miss the boat now. If we dont go for it im done.
No need to name any clubs but any idea of the numbers of clubs who are meeting?

I don’t think there is any doubt that our board know the feeling on this. We voted two years ago and no one has changed their opinion. We let the SJFA lead the way and that’s come to nothing. There’s only one obvious next step and I have zero doubts we will take it.
