Delighted at both my own clubs response and also that of kilwinning. Brave thing to be the first to speak up.

Edit: had thought was said person who ran the twitter page - misinformed but point still stands good riddance regardless 😂

If clubs will soon need to be licensed to gain entry through winning a competition, it implies that having a licence is probably no longer enough to get into the preliminary rounds of the Scottish Cup at the community board level of the game. The change you are claiming is on the cards could also be aimed at stopping EoS clubs like Broxburn and Penicuik from having a big pay day.

Absolute drivel, and you know it.

Scottish Cup entry will NOT be taken away from SFA Associate Member clubs.

Meanwhile in the North...

Gossip on FitbaNorth is that there will be another*** meeting next month around the Highland Pyramid getting set up with NCL and North Juniors.

***Nobody has mentioned the meeting that was said to have happened earlier this month where clubs were "forced" into signing up for the pyramid.

The NCL clubs signalled their support for the pyramid in 2019, However they accept that a north pyramid can only work if the NRJFA also joins.

If this happens, it would facilitate 2 feeder leagues to the HFL, with a  promotion play-off. However, as there are currently only 2 SFA licensed clubs in the two regions :

* Banks O'Dee (North Juniors) who also have floodlights, and

* Golspie Sutherland (NCL) who are currently erectiing floodlights , in order to remain licensed

.......so it will take time, for the other clubs in both leagues, to reach the required licensing standard, should they wish to do so.  ('Other') Clubs considered to be ambitious include Culter Bridge of Don Thistle, & Montrose Roselea  (North Juniors), and St Duthus (Tain) & Thurso (both NCL).

If Fort William (possible)  or Wick Academy (unlikely) are relegated from the HFL (to a new Tier 6), in the future, they would return to the NCL.

FOOTNOTE : coincidentally, the two 2018/19 champion clubs (as above) were drawn to play each other in the Scottish Cup  (2nd Preliminary Round), earlier this season. The result was :

                          Banks O'Dee   2   Golspie Sutherland   0

Not down to me unfortunately, but personally I think any club that hangs around out of misguided loyalty after being consistently misinformed for years now is scoring a huge OG...it won't just be the West Premier teams that will have a decision to make IMO.

Considering this thread has consistently put the side that the clubs were quite clearly not being told, it is a wee bit staggering how much of the TJ Kool Aid has been guzzled by the reps etc... If the Bernard Manning Matthews employees ever handed over the planning of their Christmas party to a giant turkey, they might be left a bit disappointed and also quite hungry.

Finally some real developments. For a long time I've been scratching my head as to why at least one west region teams didn't speak out about the impasse sooner. But well done to Kilwinning and Clydebank for finally standing up. With their latest rejection of common sense proposals, the SJFA have proven themselves to be utterly incompetent and backwards.

If Kelty moving wasn't the beginning of the end for Junior football, then these two club statements are. Junior's impending demise isn't something to be celebrated, but it's clear its now necessary to move the game forward.

In fact, the death of the junior grade is to be regretted, if the juniors had a more forward-looking leadership and were willing to move with the times they could have expanded to take in all of non-league football in Scotland and unite everything under the junior cup, which, although not universally appreciated by all involved, was worth preserving and maybe could have taken some steps towards its former glory if it had been expanded to include all non-league teams. But it's clear there was never actually any chance of any of this happening, as the true nature of the junior's management has been laid bare.

Looking forward to even more positive news in the coming months, it's going to take a few years to sort everything out but finally we can see a day coming where all clubs are free to rise to their level.

Since the Lowland League was created both the SoSFL and EoSFL fell as low as 11 team leagues.

The SJFA could easily have controlled tier 6 and below. They never even tried. They just expected the pyramid to fail.

Fairly sure you meant Bernard Matthews there.

Who is it you are referring to? Who writes the twitter and is it supposed to be officially SJFA?

It's just a fan account of poster from here. They may have gotten banned or quit. Set up their own forum purely for the juniors. They then come back here and troll from time to time.

Think it was Isa after the Nazi incident and calling for the removal of their posts on here under the gdpr.
