Just to illustrate that, as far as I am aware, there are no openly gay footballers in any of the top four divisions in either Scotland or England. Statistically there should definitely be gay people on here, yet I had never seen that mentioned. It's reasonable to be interested in why that is. Edit: just to add a bit more as I can sense one of those pointless arguments coming where one side refuses to see the other's perspective, and I don't have time for it. The reason I had never seen it mentioned might be because it's none of my damn business. I totally get that, hence why I acknowledged "maybe it just never comes up" and acknowledged that it would be weird to ask people. But there also might have been other reasons. I think it is fair to be interested in what's going on in the world - such as what people's backgrounds are and how they feel in a particular space - even on such a microcosm as P&B. The only thing I would alter about the post is saying "we" don't know rather than "I" don't know, because I was making that age old mistake of assuming my experience is universal, and maybe risking an "us and them" tone which was totally unintended. Once by a pal of mine who worked in the industry when they knew I was looking for work and once by a random Italian man in Brixton.
