Think all their board are packing in at the end of the season so nobody to run the club.

Frequent gubbings.

Unreliable pitch.

Little support.

Entire committee standing-down.

Shame that. Not nice to hear of football clubs unable to continue on.

16 might be an ideal scenario for highland league if cove go up and fort shut down. Less fixtures, overall less travelling and a more streamlined league. The Pyramid will evole and grow as time goes on and we will hopefully end up with a decent structure top to bottom. The product might be shite but at least the structure will be good.

But apart from that...

ETA: Beaten to it. A bit like Fort William.

Aye who wants a proper away day visiting a new place and drinking in different pubs when you can travel 10 minutes along the road to play the same teams you've played a bazillion times before.

Then again I fully support no Cove in the league for next season. Same with Spartans and EK

We've played the likes of Montrose a bazillion times. I don't usually make the longer away days, mainly down to work. Having Albion and queens back would make it easier for me.

Albion is alright but Queens Park is a fucking awful away day.

Two Edinburgh teams playing at Ainslie Park would be a bit bizarre and it's maybe no coincidence that two low budget small town clubs that usually depend on Edinburgh area players to fill out their squad were in the relegation zone with Edinburgh City. Not really hugely bothered what happens this year as neither Spartans or Cove have much of a following but think a club that has been well off the pace two seasons in a row needs to be replaced and there should be automatic relegation to ensure that happens once there at least half a dozen reasonably supported clubs challenging at tier 5 every season that could step in and be competitive. Once top junior clubs like Kelty, Clydebank and Bonnyrigg find their way into the LL that will probably start to be the case.

Why is size of support now a criteria for sporting issues?

also you will find Kelty don’t really have a bigger support than Cowden, just more investment.  No idea the size of clydebanks support.

A spectator sport is nothing without spectators, so it would be good to see clubs entering that can fill a bus or two with supporters where away games are concerned. Wasn't having a go at Cowdenbeath with that as they clearly do have a hardcore following that runs into three figures for home games and have a latent casual support that might conceivably threaten 1000 for a very big game. It is more the likes of BSC Glasgow and Edusport Academy where it really is just friends and family of the participants watching at the moment that would be the concern where a national division is concerned.

EK brought about 150 for the biggest game in their history last year.

cant imagine any of the teams in these leagues have a size of support worth thinking about.

Fort William have notified the Highland League that they are likely to resign from the competition at the end of the current campaign. The club have an EGM this week to decide whether the club will join either the Scottish Amateur set up or rejoin the North Caledonian League. Another option, should there be no offers of new blood and financing, would be to fold the club altogether.

Sad

Hope they can get a team together in the NCL
