tamthebam
There was a queue of traffic in Chambers Street at lunchtime and one dozy p***k managed to tailend another guy. That's why there's breaking distances, folks.

It is not just you. But speed kills. The government said so. The drones have fell for it. 41mph = Peter Sutcliffe levels of criminality. Dare overtake them. See them shake their fists vigorously. Hear the tooting of the horn. Laugh as you dissappear off into the distance. Then look forward to appearing on the YouTube dash cam nightmares video where the footage will more likely incriminate the doddery old cuntbag filming than the devil incarnate doing the overtaking.

With the current cost of fuel, my cruise control is now set at 56mph on every motorway or dual carriageway that I have to cross. There is a second lane which you are free to pass me on, but if you do, then, I will probably pass you whilst you are refuelling at the next garage. As others have said the 56mph thing is utter shite, it depends on what car, size of engine, driving conditions and many other factors as to what the most "efficient" speed is. On 17/07/2022 at 12:34, Loonytoons said: Irrespective of any of the above. 56mph will be more fuel efficient than 70mph which, I suspect, is what the poster was getting at. Wouldn't 56 in the wrong gear potentially be less efficient than 70 in the right one, for example? When you also account for the fact that the greater speed is balanced by a lesser time? On 17/07/2022 at 14:06, Bairnardo said: Point is its not as simple as just saying 56 is more efficient in all circumstances. Lower speed doesn't neccersarily mean grater efficiency On 17/07/2022 at 14:19, Newbornbairn said: The highest gear at the lowest speed would brie the best option. Where the engine produces peak torque is the most efficient part of the rev range.

Pulled along side and low and behold she had 2 hands on the wheel while still holding her phone in the palm of her hand, occasionally flipping it over to check the messages occasionally. Also driving out a backroad coming round a bend, yet another woman way over the line because she was on her phone (was dark and could see the glow) To sum it up a number of woman struggle to drive competently as it is, add in using a mobile phone at the same time makes them a danger to everyone. See people on their phones all the time. I live on the third floor next to a fairly busy road and notice people driving with one hand on their phone texting, usually just below the steering wheel.

sophia
We travelled south on the A82 yesterday and saw life itself drift away. As we overtook, the previously dawdling driver closed the gap to the campervan and caused a scenario fraught with risk. On this occasion the only consequence was bewilderment. A few minutes further south the traffic halted, in the distance there was CPR and a rescue helicopter landing. Expertise and emergency responses were ineffective and the motorcycle rider lost his life. As we abandoned our journey and turned northwards I dwelled upon the juxtaposition of the two incidents and the very different outcomes.

Scotty Tunbridge
Peoples thoughts on who is the c**t when you and a car behind you are both filling up fuel at the same time, both pay at the pump and get back in your car at the same time but the car behind you just decides he’s going to speed around you anyway to get out the petrol station before you. To confirm there was no dittering about being done by me in front of him got in the car switched my engine on went to pull away and he was already side on with me.
