This time they might even have a bit of a point 'Kindred group' aren't just one of the long list of Rangers' "commercial partners" and "official suppliers" they're front and centre as main shirt sponsors first with their Red32 casino and now with their sportsbook Unibet https://www.kindredgroup.com/about/our-brands/

morrison
2 hours ago, Claudia Gentile said: I like a bet but Willie Hills sponsorship is a bit meh and I'm not up for the mad amount of gambling companies that sponsor clubs in the game. I guess it is a necessary 'evil' if there are not any other sponsors out there. As alluded too at least there will be meltdowns from one half of the arse-cheeks because they have a different gambling partner. We should do better though. It's not a necessary evil at all. It's really poor judgement from the SPFL. There's a difference between the best deal and the biggest number, and the clubs have presumably voted to take the money. It's irresponsible and short sighted.
Bairnardo
I don't get it. The SPFL seem have a blinkered, relentless pursuit of money, and it seems to stem from a completely misplaced idea that we can, or indeed need to, "keep up" with other leagues. The football on show isn't going to change/improve/ worsen by any order of magnitude from taking a few extra quid from a betting shop. There are other selling points which I think we should be exploit, moral high ground is, for me personally at least, one of them. Falkirk aren't immune, I'm sure we took a sponsorship with a bookies last year. I don't know where the line is. I'd be inclined to say that individual clubs have a bit more lee way to decide whats right, but for the main sponsor of our football league.... I agree we should be looking beyond the biggest number of the bottom line.

Yeah I know. The rest of us will bang our heads off the wall till eternity looking for Scottish football to address their toxicity on our game. Still, can't win shouldn't really mean don't try. I mean, to expand on your point, people always say if the cheeks left our game would die. It wouldn't die. The quality might drop off due to money, but it would still be professional competitive football, with a chance for it not be a cesspit of glorification of a sectarian rivalry, so for that reason getting them to f**k would always be my preferred option, come what may in the aftermath

I know you are desperately trying to crowbar us as the same as them but really it was just one arsehole who was putting his own business interest ahead of the entire league system and even dare say I his own club imo.
