The club will still be talking to medical experts to get a definitive time , it would all depend on when surgery can take place and the full extent of the damage before they can give a time , no point just chucking out a 6-8 weeks when it could actually be 6-8 months , only found out yesterday that operations were needed

A ten second Social Media update could provide that information though…

What the injury is and awaiting further discussions with a specialist or whatever.

Murdoch and Dempsey are fucked, requiring surgery, for a completely unknown period of time - about it…

Edit - You could have broke that news gently!

Consider yourself lucky, you could have found out in a bumbling Callum press conference…

To then watch the rest of the interview discussing such things as how a football bounces and how Charlie Albinson saves a football - to get to the end of the interview and wonder how you still have no idea why two of our starting players require surgery.

Murdoch certainly knows how to do an injury properly. He seems to miss massive parts of each season, and is never properly replaced.  With him and Dempsey out leaves us needing urgent recruitment.  Giving guys a chance to step up isn't going to cut it as they are not good enough (yet, or at all). Experience and strength is needed. As for the media interviews, I don't believe that Calum guy comes up with the questions,  they have got to be given to him by Bullen and Mathie. The responses come across too rehearsed for my liking.

I’d wager that he’s got zero qualifications.

As far as i know, he’s a volunteer that gives up his free time. He’s not Bob Woodward.

inevitably his questions and follow ups will be pish. But i forgive the guy. We wouldn’t have  any content to mull over if it wasn’t for him.

The “he’s just a volunteer” line only goes so far considering the new hierarchy were quick enough to hunt the volunteer who was previously doing the highlights.

What creative wonders will Bullen have lined up now that he is without his midfield linchpins?

I for one cannot wait to find out....

And we are proper fucked. Has anyone mentioned that yet?

I'm sure he's masterminding a combination of McKenzie, Ashford and McAllister to plug the gaps.

No bother to those lads, as versatile as birdseye potato waffles they are.

I would go for this tomorrow now.

McGeady in a free role, doing whatever the f**k he wants. He managed 30 minutes last week, even if he managed 45 tomorrow that would be great. He is basically one of our only creative threats, so we need to get him ready to start games.

                          Albinson

Musonda   Stanger  McGinty  Reading

                     Smith  Pendlebury

Amartey             McGeady      McKenzie

                                 Rose

Looks about right. Worrying that Bullens game changers off the bench are Mcallister and Ashford and all the rest are the young team. If McGeady doesn't start, Bullen needs to catch a lift with Bangala.
