If that was a year ago you’d be raging.

After last season and the talk of Brown bringing in actual competition for places means I’m not that bothered.

You say Glendinning's signings but they were really Bullen's signings. He would have had the final say on these and his poor decisions in the transfer market were his biggest problem

Do you think Bullen went out his way to unearth gems from random leagues in England? Difficult to say but from what i gather it was a collegiate approach with Bullen having the final say. I'm not really expecting that he was knocking back lots of profiles on local players from Glendining to bring in random english ones. Would have been interesting to see the calibre of the other options that he had if these were the best ones selected

Announce Oakley.

The 2 family members following the club rule has now been reached so the next Morton stage of grief will be he was never that good.

Paddy was generally good last season, he stepped that up once Brown came in too so I’m interested how he gets on under a competent manager.

He was obviously horrific prior to that, but there is a player in there.

Aye that's how I see it - I was actually gutted for him when he got injured as assumed that would be it for him- he was coming on to a game under Brown and Whittaker I thought.

So that’s 3 seasons now where we’ve needed new L/RB’s and we’ve stuck with the dross we’ve got?

He better be bringing in competition for these positions btw, Jesus Christ.

Wasn't a fan or Rose but perhaps would have given him another chance as he did find a bit of form in the league below. The most value Amartey brought was reading here on a weekly basis how he would be an answer to our woes.

We can make all the fancy signings up front etc, but if we're going with the same defence then no point turning up.  I'd be asking for my ST money back

What’s the sign of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting the same results.

As much as many members of this back four have somewhat improved. I don't think any of them are good enough to get a team into the playoffs.

As the first team coach/manager I think that if Bullen said he didn't didn't want to shop in that market then Mathie etc would have listened.

They'll have a great pre season/league cup and we'll be told we don't need to improve.  Like last season...

I think that market had been identified as being a good one for uncovering a gem and selling on for a large profit. That strategy was mentioned several times by Mathie and was the direction the club had chosen to follow
