Gives me immense joy knowing Ayr United had some part to play in their demise. Yeah it's quite cute that they credit Ayr United with the power to kill clubs.
Shibuya
To be fair, an Airdrie fan killed our badge so they got their own back.

Thumper
The best way to improve the derby situation would be to have more Ayrshire teams in the league, ideally at the expense of Fife and Angus. This would also compel the Scottish Government to send troops into the Blighted East to break into the Rugby Park trophy room and liberate the Ayrshire Cup for the consumption of its more deserving sides.
Richey Edwards
Was visiting my Nana there. She is from Maryhill and her team is Partick Thistle. You know your team are shite when even your own Nana is laughing at them.

I don't get why they won't play for the Ayrshire Cup. What claim do they have to keep it and not play for it again?

Although in recent seasons it has quietened down a bit. Over the piece the two teams were in and around the same league with many relegation and promotion battles. Some of the games were quite fiery encounters. There were also decades where knocking lumps out of the opposition fans was part of the matchday experience and both sides never missed an opportunity.

Don't think we've played each other in about 5 years though, and that last Ayr Airdrie game still had quite a hostile atmosphere to it.
