Rus has moments of magic in him, Watret is a genuine talent, Dempsey is exceptional. The best thing about this afternoon is all the shitehawks of other Championship teams seeing the half time score and taking joy in thinking we’d f**ked it. Aye pretty much this. Dempsey has been immense so far this season. Rus can change a game in a second. Its good to know we have different ways of making it work and getting wins over the line.

Had another “Rus has done f**k all today” moment at half time and then he goes and lobs Albinson from 25 yards.
muZZa__44
Watret deserves a start after today but as me and others have said he won’t be able to play week in week out at just 17 (would love to be proven wrong) and then your left with starting either Musonda or McAllister at RB, that being said if Musonda’s tweak means he’s out it means Devlin gets into the matchday Squad and as others have said we do still need another centre mid in, Rus is gonna get clattered every game he plays and then we’re two injuries: suspension away from having to start McKenzie in CM

diegomarahenry
Musonda looked every part of a centre half playing at right back today, loads of moves broke down up the right as a result of him not boing a wing back, he also channelled his inner Paddy Reading and ran backwards 40 yards escorting the Hamilton player to the by-line at the second goal. Him getting injured two weeks before an international window was no real surprise either. He just wasn't on it at all today, maybe because Hamilton had decided to exclusively attack down his side all afternoon. It's not Musondas fault though, playing players out of position always works well until it doesn't, there will be games he's more suited to playing. Watret, short back pass aside was outstanding when he came on, Longridge looked lost defending against him.

I had a couple of mates along with me today. I said to them when Watret came on that the boy is a pler and will be going places, and they gave me a sort of "aye okay sure" look. For the whole half they were raving about him and urging him on to take on Longridge every time he had the ball.

He'll just keep getting better too as he gets more confident and keeps learning. There's a bit of the Andy Robertson's about him I think. The pace he showed at times was unreal. Yep massive prospect.

If his shot towards the end had gone in, just after he glided past two Hamilton players, I think half the crowd would’ve invaded the pitch to celebrate with him. Every header he won, every tackle he made was met with roaring from the NT which was great to hear.
Superhursty7
Hopefully this gets Watret a run in the team, we should enjoy him while we can because I can't see him being with us in two years, he looks like he's destined for big things.

callum-ayr
Noticed a few boys who were in hospitality for the Celtic game (Celtic fans) were back today watching. Seems we’re getting folk in like that when Celtic aren’t playing. Reckon we’ll hit the 3000 mark next week. Hopefully another good result and keep the punters coming. Would take a draw just now if you offered it.

We played a team we played 2 weeks ago, Brown made the point that personal battles would be fresh In the memory which would make it more of a challenge. Will it last? Who knows, possibly/probably not, but with guys like Rus, Watret, Dempsey, Oakley and McCann, it’s going to be some ride

The difference from last season is massive, we have pace and creativity in several positions. Our defence does look like a work in progress but Watret surely has done enough to earn a start. I don't see any reason why we cannot go into next week's game looking for three points. We will score goals against anyone the question is whether we can tighten up the defence. I think we will do well against teams that try to attack because of our press.

My pal who supported Rangers as a boy has been coming along with me for 4 seasons now but this was the first time he actually went alone and used my season ticket while I’m abroad. He’s right into it now and is absolutely buzzing about this season. I think the night at Rugby Park was the one that really hooked him.
Superhursty7
My heart is telling me we can win this, my head is saying 9 points down 31 more to get to 40 and safety, but........ I just think think there is some magic in the AYR this season and something really special is about to happen.
