I cannot wear a black & white scarf.

It would be a step too far for me.

But I like it here. You girls & boys are (mostly) entertaining. Can I hang around for a wee while I decide whether the gate money is worth it ?

Depends. Did you bring a bag of cans? And if you’re going to be up and about at 5am every morning you’ll have to keep the noise down.

Designed by Archibald Leitch along with some of the stands at the biggest and most famous grounds in the UK (and also Rugby Park).

Yep. He designed part or all of these - shamelessly stolen from Wikipedia:

Another anniversary for today.

The idea of that many people inside Somerset Park sounds mental to me. That's about 3 x the biggest attendances we're allowed nowadays. It must have been some atmosphere.

Anyone wanting to admit to being old enough to have been at this game?

I was there. In the ground from very early stood behind Ally’s dugout. In my opinion the best Ayr team ever, not necessarily as individuals but definitely as a team

Delighted with that if a little surprised.  Dempsey’s stock is growing so could well have got a decent move in the summer under freedom of contract.  Still might happen I suppose if there’s a release clause of some kind.
