I actually really like England's squad, and Southgate seems like a very likeable, down-to-earth guy, but I think they'll get done if they come up against a proper good team. Can't even use the Belgium game as a benchmark really as both teams are already through, so can't see either of them properly going for it. I can't remember where I've read it, but I read somewhere that second place has a potentially much easier route through to the SF rather than finishing first. Also watched that game, but don’t recall it being spoilt by the England chat at half time let alone feeling ‘attacked’. Seems there’s a contingent who almost yearn to be offended by the exposure England receive at a Tournament none of the other home nations qualified for.
