The Other Foot
Breaking news: Marine Le Pen and her supporters have decided to throw in the towel, because the McDonalds at Concorde got its windows done in by a white kid with dreadlocks Edited July 1 by The Other Foot

Freedom Farter
Le Pen has an entirely predictable backer - the Israeli state. Le Pen's party explicitly support full Israeli colonisation of the occupied Palestinian territories. Israel hard at work backing far right parties across Europe, as usual. https://archive.ph/ksAmC Edited July 1 by Freedom Farter
coprolite
I see Anjem Choudary has grassed up Kevin Keegan for being in Isis. Always knew that c**t was dodgy.
doulikefish
Over 70 macron candidates have dropped out and over 150 Npf have dropped out for round 2 ,leaving it a straight 2way fight for whichever candidate is best placed to beat the far right

Thought his argument was pretty poor tbh, claiming that people still instinctually think of Kevin Keegan as a Liverpool player. I'm of that vintage, and I only ever think of Keegan falling off his bike on Superstars, and then losing his rag at Alex Ferguson. He'd have been far better off using a Billy Bonds/West Ham analogy.

That says a lot.

HibeeJibee
French exit poll indicates the 'mutual withdrawals' worked with left coalition of Labour/Greens/Far Left/Extreme Left/Communists set to come top. However no bloc will be able to govern (unless several of the less controversial leftists parties ditch their erstwhile bedfellows and enter coalition with the president's centrists - or the most moderate leftist parties do so with the Conservatives also entering into a grand mainstream coalition). Seat projections: (290 required for majority) 180 Leftist alliance 160 Centrists/liberals 140 Far right 60 Conservatives 10 left dissenters +20 others 30,000 gendarmes + CRS have been mobilised. Jedi2
Obvious relief to see the Left Alliance of Socialists, Communists, Greens, come out on top. A programme which includes a 14% increase in the minimum wage, proper funding for public services, a Retirement age of 60, freezing prices on food and energy, a wealth tax on the richest, Green Energy expansion, continued military support for Ukraine, recognise Palestine as a state, two state solution, ceasefire and release of hostages. Probably have to do a deal with Macron and his centrist, but with more seats should be calling the shots, and most importantly can keep Le Pen and Co, out.

If only the UK could elect some kind of pro workers party, a party for labour? Instead we get the Labour party, beholden to private healthcare, Murdoch and sleaze. Honestly fucking despise all that the UK is.
