DeeTillEhDeh
That's a fucking joke of an offside decision against Pukki. VAR was meant to be a clear and obvious error - that isn't - and I'm not even convinced at that angle they can actually tell.
jimmy boo
they could swallow their pride, admit it's utter shit and just draw a line under the thing completely... the only thing worse than VAR in the professional game at the present time are those fucking flags behind the goals when arsenal and wolves score at home...Stop talking shite.
DeeTillEhDeh
That looked like another bad VAR decision - a foul every day of the week on Grealish - that being said Villa were utter dogshite.
HibeeJibee
Today was the start of the second half of the season - everyone has played everyone else once (West Ham v Liverpool outstanding), so they could have decided that for the return games they would adopt a more 'sensible' approach to offside. Has it really been explained why they departed from only "clear and obvious" in the first place?
DeeTillEhDeh
The game is football not fucking armball - so why are they including fucking arms in VAR offside decisions?

And what would a 'sensible' approach look like anyway? 10 minutes ago, DeeTillEhDeh said: The game is football not fucking armball - so why are they including fucking arms in VAR offside decisions? Salvo Montalbano
They're not fucking including arms in offside decisions. They might not be but the Pukki one in this round of fixtures and in particular the one at Brighton are so close (and the margin off error about when the ball is kicked so narrow) that it looks as though they are deciding on where the arm ends and the chest/shoulder/armpit starts as being the threshold for an offside call. In previous years, even when looking along the line with a camera after the game, all three decisions today would have been said to have shown the attacker level with the last man and onside (at worst, Pukki looked well onside from the still shown).

They cant change how it works halfway through a season, it wouldnt be fair. Is it fair that Norwich get treated with harsher laws in a home game against Tottenham than an away one?

Theres no way that's a foul. Firstly, there's absolutely no contact. Secondly, he doesn't obstruct him. Grealish run out of options and tried to buy a foul and as such, was lucky not to be booked himself. 7 hours ago, Salvo Montalbano said: 8 hours ago, Ginaro said: They're not fucking including arms in offside decisions. From the stills, Pukki's shoulder was offside. You can score with your shoulder. Pukki = offside. It's mental but it's exactly what people wanted.

His feet are well behind the Spurs defender and while his body is leaning forward slightly, it looks for all the world as if he was level.

Got a book for Christmas called "Legacy: Gangsters, Corruption and the London Olympics" which is an incredible read. Always knew Sullivan was a crook, but must admit I didn't know about half of what went on in order for West Ham to get that stadium. Well worth a read, not just for the West Ham parts, but just how corrupt the whole process was and still is.
supermik
Looks like Nike have a new pair of boots out. Past few games on the box, most of the players are wearing the same blue and white boots.

quickoverayard
I’d say if you come along and break every record going, you merit a claim to be the best. Last seasons point total would have won Liverpool the league every other year except another one, the previous 100 point record breaking city team, who were touted as the best. They’re on course to beat the 100 points this year and I’d be surprised if they didn’t. They’ve lost once this calendar year, back in January to City and look like they could go this season undefeated, as well as being in the mix to win the European cup again. Solid at the back and frighteningly good going forward. They’re certainly the best team I’ve seen play in the premier league.I do agree with what you’re saying but city are a shade of what they were last season but that being said Liverpool have went up a level this year. Personally I’m delighted that Liverpool seem to be nailed on to win the league.Liverpool have had some sublime partnerships/ trios up top, so are Mane, Salah and Firmino the best they’ve seen?
