Mark Connolly
Norwich have failed to stay up despite having 9 games to save themselves. One too many opportunities?

peasy23
Pope has kept the score down here so far, some terrific saves.

But I'd hoped villa could've stayed up. They were a big team in the 90s but hey ho. Glad moyes has done well, and Pearson continues to impress (although it's quite clear he's an intense, unlikeable w****r). I think saying Moyes has done well is a bit of an exaggeration. They've been lucky that the bottom three have been unbelievably poor in recent months. I expect he'll start poorly next season and be sacked before the halfway point in the season.

DrewDon
Pope surely has to start ahead of Pickford for England now. Quite clearly the best English goalkeeper at the moment.

It might be a Colin Stewart nepotism scenario behind the scenes.
19QOS19
Probably the same reason Stuart Pearce lasted as long in management: "he shows passion". Which obviously deflects from the fact he isn't very good.
Guest DAVIDB69
I know it’s only a small thing but this tendency that has begun to call sheffield United, sheffield is very annoying , when there are two team in the city,

He will always be remembered for the missed penalty in 1990, but I think he should be constantly reminded that it was his shite defending that allowed Kuntz a free run for the German's goal in the 1996 Semi Final as well.
peasy23
I thought Chelse were shoe ins for 3rd place, but they could be down to 5th on Monday if they can't turn this around.

peasy23
I like Andy Hinchcliffe as a co-commentatorAye, he's always been decent on the football league coverage.Chelsea having a defensive 'mate here, 3-0 down with McGoldrick scoring again. No way back now I would think.
Guest DAVIDB69
If city get banned the chelsea v wolves last day fixture might be more significant than Leicester v man united
Guest DAVIDB69
Easy to be wise after the event but sheffield United looked a huge price at 9/2 for this game

Salvo Montalbano
Pope surely has to start ahead of Pickford for England now. Quite clearly the best English goalkeeper at the moment. Think Southgate likes him as he is a better keeper with his feet. He can launch quick counter attacks and is comfortable (probably overly so) playing as an extra centre half. Pope might well be as good a footballer but he doesn't get the chance to show it at Burnley.
Derry Alli
That's another delightful finish by Sterling. He's finding corners with ease nowadays.
