Rory Stewart is fairly compis mentus

The most out of the lot of them. Unfortunately he looks and comes over like a creature from Gormenghast. Shame.

Indeed
Boris Buffoon will probably walk it

Don't think he will tbh. If it gets to last 2 he will but not sure he will get to last 2

Wid like to think he'll get nowhere near running the country. Lots of old twats find him a 'bit of a character' though

Rory Stewart is deeply connected to British intellegence, and basically, with the aid of the BBC, conducted an anti-independence psy-op operation during indyref1, with his 'Middleland' pish.  He was trying to make us feel un-Scottish, and that 'Scotland' or 'Scottish' as a concept isn't really authentic.

Boris will probably walk it unless his idiot associates have their usual idiot meltdowns. Boris is the best idiot the Tory's have for a leader. We are governed by idiots. You get my gist...

Will be Leadsom or Raab.

It's never who you expect it to be. Always somebody keeping quiet in the background.

Leadsom's inexperience was exposed in the last contest.

Johnson's Old Etonian sense of entitlement pisses off a lot of Tory MPs. Rory Stewart, a Cameroon OE, has the same problem which explains his hatred Boris.

The quiet back ground candidate could be Geoffrey Cox QC, the Attorney General and a pragmatic Brexiteer. He's very sharp and a brilliant orator. He'd be tough to beat in a debate.

It's true that it's often someone entirely unexpected who wins (earlier this week Amber Rudd looked a decent shout at 50/1), but I think the big players will be smarter this time and if Johnson can quietly build up momentum and member support you might expect others to fall away and there to be the sort of coronation you often see in the Labour Party. Still, I expect the media to talk about a 'Stop Boris' candidate in 5-4-3-2...

Was shocked to hear Liam Fox talking sensibly on Radio 5 this morning. His years of futility seeking trade deals around the world must have educated and evolved him from the rabid Brexiteer and slavering Yoon of old. He's still both, of course, but he talked articulately of how leaving with a deal would be so much better than without, and brought in the Tory core value of a hard brexit risking the Union, without absolutely ruling out a hard brexit. He knows his stuff on trade better than any other of the Brexiteers. Could draw support from the Stop Boris at any cost lot, and some of the non swivel eyed Brexiteers. Says he's not running, but the possibility of a late entry makes a small punt at 100/1 for Party Leader seem worthwhile, 150/1 for next PM.

So basically, a complete change of tune from him.
