Good morning Brechin fans!

THE SCOTTISH HIGHLAND FOOTBALL LEAGUE DIARY 2022/23 IS NOW ON SALE!

Now in its NINTH year, the latest SHFL Diary is the biggest ever and clocks in at 372 pages, and is a complete record of the 2022/23 Breedon Highland League season, which saw 1,140 goals scored across 306 league fixtures as the league went all the way to the final minutes of the season. Late, late goal from Brechin City condemned Buckie Thistle to second place once again as they claimed their first Highland League title, with cover star Grady McGrath ending the campaign as top scorer with 35 goals and as Highland League Player of The Year. The 2022/23 edition is by far the biggest and busiest edition we have ever produced, and we hope you'll enjoy it!

Complete with match reports on all competitive games across all league and cup competitions - from friendlies way back in July 2022 through to the playoffs in May of this year - the 2022/23 edition also contains club statistics, competition summaries, league tables and more, and is packed with features which are sure to be of interest to fans of all SHFL clubs. This seasons edition contains fixtures for the coming season and preliminary dates for cup competitions (where known).

As time goes on, details of matches from previous seasons become harder to find, and the SHFL Diary will act as a permanent written record of each season and will continue to occupy a place on the bookshelf of football fans long after Facebook pages and club websites have been forgotten or disappeared, and long, long after Twitter finally implodes.

The SHFL Diary 2022/23 is sponsored by McBookie, whose contribution during the production process has once again proved invaluable.

Perhaps 2 games in a week on that awful Hamilton surface had something to do with Martin's injury , McHattie had one game on it. . McDonald came back from summer break with a back problem

Did he? That’s not good. That’s what has plagued his career thus far and why he finds himself at us.

MacDonald is really a waste ,always injured can’t play the full 90 minutes time for him to go and we can get someone else in that stays fit.

He has got through it before and put in a lot of good performances last season. Hopefully can do the same this season.

Great player on his day.

He offers something that no one else in the squad offers. Definitely worth the perseverance

Well that was shite, couldn’t beat a team down to 10 men then down to 9.Really struggled to create chances which is a worry.Hamish at the back is a bomb scare he will cost us goals this season.Players looked tired already and it’s just the first game of the season, needs to be a lot quicker and sharper, maybe the training regime is all wrong and Kirk’s tactics really are baffling.Louden is wasted out on the left.Get him through the middle with Grady.

Does this clown go to the games?  Good result against probably the dirtiest team in the league. Hope our knocks aren’t too serious. Result without McHattie, Seth and Lewis but wasn’t a good watch.  Will get better!

It wasn't great but we will take the 3 points and move on. Hamish is OK but probably won't play when Lewis and Kevin are fit and we play as a back 3. It's not easy when we have played 4 games in 2 weeks. Not sure why you keep posting negative comments?  Everyone on this forum knows you are on the wind-up and its really getting boring

May not have been at their best, but Brechin did beat Formartine. Did you fail to notice the penalty being scored?

I think people forget that the whole mindset had to change from the last 4 games very quickly. Went from having to be solid defensively and not having a lot of the ball to dominating the ball and playing against a low block. Admittedly I wasn’t there yesterday and the general feedback was that it was poor. Formartine will be right up there or thereabouts at the end of the season, so three points is a good result.

I think most people did realise  . Don't get drawn in by the troll.
