Billy Jean King
The one thing evident from his performance today is that it's going to take the political equivalent of a professional hit man to take him out. There is absolutely nothing that will make him resign and he does not have a shred of dignity or self respect. Clearly resignations and calls to resign from his own party are water off his rhino like hide. If the "suits" don't move now then what exactly will it take for them to alter the rules and force another VONC.

Northern Ireland Minister constantly saying he “is loyal” isn’t that much of a surprise… Mind you, a quick look on his wiki suggests he’s exactly Boris’s type of guy Quote Following Johnson's appointment as Prime Minister, Burns served as Minister of State for Trade Policy. He resigned in 2020, after a Standards Committee inquiry found he had made "veiled threats" to use privilege to "further his family's interests" during a financial dispute involving his father.

btb
That's another junior minister quitting (Stuart Andrew - Housing Minister @12:55) I guess it's gonna require another Cabinet minister to make Johnson quit.

If he got anywhere near as animated and involved clamping down on people lying, talking shite and otherwise juking around answering questions properly as he did for a few folk applauding that would be grand.

Can he find enough people to replace them all, keep in mind 75% of back benchers were against him at the last vote. He needs to find 20 folk to bring in.

Exactly right. If he were asked why people should not clap he’d have no answer other than ‘tradition’. The same tradition that had the speaker dress up in poncy garb until, quite recently, it was abandoned.

I was wondering this, although the "75% of back benchers were against him at the last vote" figure depends on the belief that nobody "on the payroll" voted against him in what was a secret ballot.
