Well said. I came on to make the point but you've done it well. The Fleetwood Mac name and history is mucky but Green was a proper guitarist and musician.

Miguel Sanchez
Week 29 update Two deaths this week. Up first, Tim Smith: https://www.theguardian.com/music/2020/jul/22/tim-smith-frontman-cult-band-the-cardiacs-dies-aged-59 Never heard of the guy or any of his bands. Let's have a listen: Musically, sure. Vocally, there's something about English bands from around this time that all seem to have the same whiny, overly deliberate singing style. I could probably get used to it. He seems to have been an influential figure though, judging by the amount of bands referencing him as an influence. Quote Mary Wren, from Cardiacs’ label Alphabet Business Concern, said in a statement: “Despite the struggles Tim faced over the last 12 years, we all somehow felt he would never leave us. This is, in part, because he looked at death square in the face, with his good and true eye, so many times and won … At this time, we are comforted by the fact that he left us quietly, albeit suddenly.” Wren’s statement concludes: “His fans adored him. He changed people for the better. He saved lives. His music was a refuge for those in need and he never locked his door or turned anyone away. I feel as if church bells across the land should be ringing out his name.” Smith died at 59, so he's worth 66 Base Points. He was a Solo Shot for @Aim Here, for a total of 116 points. ============================ The second death this week was the footballer David Hagen: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53536430 Perhaps unsurprisingly, most of the articles online focus on his time at Rangers. It seems he had his best years at Falkirk however, playing in a Scottish Cup final and scoring the winner in a Challenge Cup final the same year. I'd offer a page from the Falkirk thread from the time the news came out, but it's filled with RandomGuy and Marshmallo arguing about coronavirus testing. There's no video of that match on youtube either, so you'll have to make do with a picture: Hagen is the second Scottish football figure in the past twelve months to die from motor neurone disease. In 2018 Falkirk, Hearts and Rangers staged a benefit match for him, and a Falkirk historian pledged the profits from his latest volume of the club's history to Motor Neurone Disease Scotland. The only other thing I can think to say is that whenever I read about someone with MND is that I really, really hope I never suffer from this. Hagen died at 47, so he's worth 78 Base Points for @Aim Here and @alta-pete. He was Vice Captain for @Bishop Briggs, @peasy23 and @sparky88 for 117 points. He was Captain for @chomp my root, @JustOneCornetto, @Karpaty Lviv, @Savage Henry, @The_Craig and @thistledo for 156 points. As a result, the standings now look like this: 1.
