Aggressive ?? You think that’s aggressive ?

After some stiff competition from Aberdeen fans Grangemouth Bairn comes out of nowhere to win the heads gone trophy.

Well not only is Michael highly articulate and clever, he's also an expert on biomechanics.

We can't send players off for naughtiness,  Michael knows best.

Sky sports Dermot Gallagher v trial by sportscene.
Very Aggressive Recklessness (VAR).

Dermot Gallagher was the only one in the studio that thought it was red. I watch “Ref Watch” every week for the the incredulity in the crap that Gallagher comes away with. 99 times out of 100 he backs the referee’s decisions, usually by rewriting the Laws Of The Game to fit the decisions.

He's a former top ref who probably knows more about the laws of the game than most folk on here.

It will be interesting if the red card stands thou.
The great tackle before the Cosgrove one gets overlooked, could've been a pen if he got it wrong.
These terms like in the modern game, protecting the players or assets,non-contact sport.

Serious Foul Play

“A tackle or challenge that endangers the safety of an opponent or uses excessive force or brutality must be sanctioned as serious foul play.

“Any player who lunges at an opponent for the ball from the front, from the side or from behind using one or two legs, with excessive force or endangers the safety of an opponent is guilty of serious foul play.”

None of that applies to Sam's great challenge, so the appeal will be upheld. Unless Dermot Gallagher is on the appeal panel.

Of course he knows the Laws Of The Game inside out. It's just that he rewrites them to suit his point time after time. I don't suppose that Sky would have him on unless he was controversial.
