madwullie
Big collection of data from schools across America. Just the raw data I think, I've not really looked at it. Have no idea what it shows, if it's possible to extrapolate anything from it, but I reckoned it might get some of your juices going
Ron Aldo
If it was a game of fives she would be last pick. She wouldn't be last pick in the Central Belt but that's only because she's not letting us play 5s at the moment.
Kneal Down Caster
Went to the petrol station to pay at the pump. Wasn’t working and had to pay at kiosk. No staff wearing masks and only as I left and other customers were coming in that I realised I had no mask on. Shit happens and I don’t have asthma

We aren’t there yet but eventually there comes a point where if no vaccine is viable that we accept it as another risk to health and get back to living our lives alongside the risk. This is exactly what Thailand is doing, no restrictions of life. We have just closed our borders and let in 500 new arrivals each day, Mostly Thais returning. All are placed in state quarantine and tested on 3 separate days , they stay there for a minimum of 14 days no matter what results.. If they get the clear, they join society as normal. If they fail, they are placed in hospital until given the full clearance. We have 143 active cases in the whole of the country(all returnees). There are trying to run trials for the tourist trade soon, but keep on delaying, the restriction you will face if wanting to come are crazy....no right minded person would want to do or even afford. (Rich Chinese business persons seems to be the market). Our government scientists are working with AZ in the UK, they have mentioned that no vaccine will be available for public use until July 2021 at least. The tourist trade is fucked, however the rest of the country/people are living as normal. It's quite sad seeing the shitestorm happening in other countries (UK). The biggest difference I see/saw is when we were given restriction. we followed the guidelines. IN the UK, it seems folks first thoughts are how to get round the restrictions.....madness. Shame on you, and Sweden. If it didn't fit your preferred narrative odds on you would be latching onto some other parallel where Sweden is concerned in a can't see the wood for the trees sort of way. On the like with like thing my understanding is that some of their Nordic neighbours may be handling COVID-19 related deaths with co-morbidities differently from Sweden and the UK, so the death statistics may not be as readily comparable as you think they are. SlipperyP
Quote Any change to self-isolation requirements would follow research by King's College London, which suggested just 10.9% of those traced as contacts of someone with Covid-19 remained at home for the full quarantine period. and you wonder why you have a problem. It’s a bit of a pain but there is f**k all we can do. If they left the pubs and whatnot open here (east lothian), you'd get every c**t from other areas swarming into the region.

Those that aren't or can't, need to be led by those responsible individuals. Those that won't take responsibility for their own words and actions need a short sharp truncheon to the face. Correct, we had a night curfew for about a month in April, also zero alcohol sales. Bangkok post were reporting that 1000 people broke the curfew each night, that's out of 69 milllion. Why? If you got caught you got a fine and a truncheon to the face.....
Granny Danger
My solution is to move all the people in Scotland who are upset about the restrictions to Wales and let all the Welsh folk who are happy to comply come to Scotland. -
