Was more the assertion that this will go on for a long time if young folk dont toe the line. I dont see why it would. The govts job is now to vaccinate enough people to lower hospitalization rates the  they should be returning to issuing public health advice and guidance re covid. Possibly maintain some degree of testing and asking confirmed cases to isolate. Other than that it should be telling clarty hoors to wash their hands.

Fair enough. Crossed wires 👍🏻

This is really worth it for "saving Christmas"...

I would hope it's the last lockdown as the vaccine kicks in. It better bloody be.

January is a shite month anyway, at least we're not locked down in the summer when the sun doesn't set until 10 and it's taps aff weather.

This has nothing to do with "saving Christmas".

I like how workplaces are now magically safer than March because they’ve got a few signs on the wall.
Our offices despite being closed to the vast majority of the staff have been altered beyond recognition since March. Screens, new hands free entry systems, internal doors removed, thermal imaging temperature camera sytems and hands free sanitizer systems everywhere. Don't think too many will be much different (at least I would hope that was the case)

We were scheduled to be getting new windows and doors last week of this month. I’m pretty sure that’ll be cancelled too. I bloody hope so because if not it will be murder getting them done with the two kids running about daft. Plan was to f**k them off for the week elsewhere to get it done but that’s out the window (pardon the pun) now.

A week? How many windows have you got? You could do 5 houses in that time.

It’s a two and a half day install but the kids were going away Monday to Friday

Aye, I thought about it after I posted a lot of houses have twice as many windows as we have + patio doors.

One of my stepdaughters starts back at work in a care home on Friday. She hasn't had her jab yet, and my wife thinks she might not get one as she's agency and not NHS. That couldn't be right, surely?

None of that stops asymptomatic spread of air particles which is the main carrier.
I was being a bit facetious, my workplace has done the requirements as well but won’t spend the big bucks on changing the airflow system or windows. It’s been a case of taking the furlough money due to low orders rather than safety. I just laugh when the SG says covid secure as if it means anything.

We have one and several folk ignored it going red one day.
“aye it was red for everyone so we can’t all be infected”

ok then, seems legit. This is the reality of covid secure.
