Any update on how many ventilators Dyson have managed to produce?

Publicity whores like Dyson and Brewdog will be laughing all the way to the bank after all this is over. The free good publicity at the start will remain in the consciousness of the public even though they produced hee haw.

There's a very strange, seemingly stock response, on social media to anyone who wants to do anything other than sit in their house of "If YoU dO ThAt tHEn yOu wILl diE"

Apparantly if you go for a KFC you will kill your grandchildren, but if you go to Tesco they will live

Going to be very difficult now for NS to come out today and make no changes to restrictions after his comments yesterday and some of the front page headlines this morning as well. Sadly with how this is developing seems there will be a second spike of this.

I don't think it is. I listened to FMQ's yesterday and she was very clear (and to be fair, Jackson Carlaw was largely agreeing, despite the reporting.  Richard Leonard was his usual standard).

We have a "4 nation" approach if we go at the pace of the slowest., and we are behind other parts of the UK apparently.   If lockdown is lifted / eased before it is deemed safe to do so here,  we will have a Scotland only approach.

It might be difficult, but i think one of the things going through the Govt's head is that if we keep going for a bit longer and things continue to get better here when there is a second peak South of the Border, they come out looking like visionary heros.  If there isn't a second peak showing, then we can start easing a few weeks after RUK with the excuse that we were always a couple of weeks behind.  Pretty much a win-win.

Laura Kuennssberg should be one of the first to lose their jobs after this is over. A journalists job is not to be a government spokesperson.

As mentioned just a little earlier. The number has to be zero. We received the BOM to cost out two days ago here in Singapore for production by a subcontractor in Malaysia. At this stage, they are about of 2 months from production start.

It's worse than that - you will be killing other people's grandchildren.

Out for my daily exercise yesterday and as I’m walking by him, a fat gammon takes his fag out of his mouth and coughs whilst walking as close as possible passed me (without covering obviously). Subhuman scum.

Deadly combination of spreading Covid-19 and Cancer to you.  RIP!

Cant remember the last time i exchanged some droplets.

Sad times.

You’ll be exchanging droplets all the time with your wife and children that you’re in the house with in afraid.

No, but it IS against the conditions of the lockdown so in terms of evaluating changes in behaviour, it's relevant.

Iv already posted on here about breaking the terms due to childcare. I wouldnt have did that if I thought it was unsafe. I have observed it as best I could, and still am, but had a week where we were snookered so broke the rules I did.

Loads of people near me who have north facing back gardens are sitting out In their front gardens less than 2m apart from some of their neighbours with their children running about willy nilly, I doubt this is exclusive  to my neighbourhood either.

All the footballers and their families are going to die as well.

Fraser Wishart is already well aware of the danger. Healthy men in their twenties are dropping like flies.

Yeah, a lot of people have made only a token effort at it from the start. That doesnt change the fact that anecdotally, I see a lot of people actively loosening their stance having previously been much more strict.

Exactly, its all down to the warm weather though and eventually people in the U.K. will be drawn outside no matter what. I used to live in a flat with a communal garden and I bet people were out sat in it yesterday not giving a f**k. We get the sun on our garden which is just great but the houses up the road from me get the evening sun out their front door and there is a play park and a communal green area next to it where all the kids were running wild there last night and other days when the suns been out. We’re going up there for a bbq later on.

I think the next blinding piece of 'new science' to be revealed by our two governments will be that the transmission of the virus is much lower in outdoor environments.

That is pretty much the approach here in Belgium. I am now allowed to see friends outside and from Monday,  while they can come to my flat, it is strongly recommended to socialise in the garden

Can't imagine it'll be long till the only good journalist at the BBC gets shunted to the world service or something equally low profile.

Government should give ‘more help’ to the poor care home owners just trying to make ends meet, IMO.
