You can't really speak for the subset P&B-WRK, but I can confidently state that I am a more decent and empathic person than you. A pretty low bar, in all fairness.

Why don’t you ignore the fantasist?

Let's hope the thread doesn't go any lower than this from yesterday.

I notice when the death figures are low there’s lots of comments on here, but none today when we’ve had the highest daily figure of since March.

Wasn't it higher last Thursday?

We seem past the peak now, so it hasn't been too bad considering the number of cases. Encouraging.

Given that registration offices only opened yesterday, there will be an element of catching up with the weekend deaths. It would be useful if they gave a breakdown of numbers who died with Covid against those who died because of Covid, if it could be seen that the young and those with no underlying health conditions were amongst those sadly passing away it may encourage more of the unvaccinated to come forward.

The breakdown between with and because of Covid has been pointed out on here many times.  I believe the NHS were asked to provide this a while back and told the government to bolt so realistically we’re never going to get it.

Enjoying the argument, but for some context, the average daily deaths in Scotland is around160.

Aye, a tin of dog food from B&M - I'm like a one-man Oxfam, me. Can't recall mentioning money - your we imagination getting the better of you?
Some people working in frontline, public-facing jobs are really worried and scared - especially those who may be faced with a choice of isolating or continuing to work so they can afford to live. Is chucking a mask on for five minutes really too much of an imposition? Is it "virtue signalling" or just not being a selfish, opinionated cúnt?

He's always been a selfish, opinionated c**t.

Covid symptoms 'now comparable to a bad cold'

The NHS website lists the main symptoms of Covid as a high temperature, a new continuous cough and a loss or change in your sense of smell and taste.

But scientists at the Zoe Covid Symptom Study say that, if you've been jabbed, your symptoms might be more like a bad cold.

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, Christina Hu explained: "The current top symptoms that are being reported by Covid-positive people in the Zoe Covid Study are...milder things like runny nose, headache and sore throat.

"Our data is really showing that post-vaccination, symptoms are certainly more mild and comparable to a bad cold."

Christina added that the symptoms could also have changed because more younger people were catching Covid.

She called on listeners to tell other people about the new symptoms.

"It does seem unlikely that the government is going to change the official list any time soon so we are calling on the listeners to spread the word about this," she said.

No, not really. But wearing one all day is fucking shite.

Add in the fact they are next to useless and they can, quite literally, get in the bin.

Mentioned on here before, but the ONS stats for England and Wales show the difference between those whose death certificate shows the difference between those where Covid was an underlying cause of death, compared to the total.

If I remember rightly (not been at work this week, so not looking) - it's roughly 60-70% of deaths where it's underlying rather than just included. This compares to about 80-90% if you go back to January.
