microdave
Dumbarton of course had the three Coyle brothers in their team, though I think only ever two at a time. Correct. Joe had left by the time Owen made his debut.
afca32
Darren Smith and Darren Lee Smith (presume the Lee part only started getting mentioned when they were at the same club) played a number of games together for Stirling Albion in 2014/15.
microdave
Dumbarton had two Robert Browns in the 1880's. They both scored in the Scottish cup final in 1883. That might very well be the only time that's happened in a cup final in Scotland.

I'm sure that I have a memory of them all playing in a game once, was a friendly i think

I was 10/11 back then so my memory of all things DFC at that point isn't brilliant.

It's just a vague memory though
AsimButtHitsASix
Morton had four players all called Derek playing in the same team a few times in 1995. McInnes, Laing, Lilley and Collins
Blue Moon
Just ten days ago at Station Park, Scott Robertson came as a last minute sub for Forfar against Stranraer for whom Scott Robertson started the match.
King Kebab
Last Season East Fife played St. Johnstone in the League Cup and Saints’ Chris Kane got his arse kicked by East Fife Legend Chris Kane!!!

Ian38018
There was a pair of Scott Thomsons who both played for Dunfermline at the same time. They were also together at Raith, I think.
Silverton End
Derek & John Whiteford (cousins) for Dumbarton, late 1970's. Also played together with Airdrie Edited April 1, 2020 by Silverton End
David W
Jordan Allan (then of Stirling, now at Stranraer) would have played against Jordan Allan (of Cowdenbeath) last season.

CM.
Not the same full names but we had a shitload of Scotts at the club a few years ago. Linton, Ferguson, McManus, McMann, Durie, McLaughlin and probably 1 or 2 more I've forgotten. Can't remember exactly how many of them would've been at the club/been on a pitch at the same time.
ecto
Am sure we played Montrose a couple of seasons ago, there was a Matty Smith and a Matty Smyth playing and both scored
tamthebam
Ian Ferguson (St Mirren, Rangers) played against Iain Ferguson (Rangers, Dundee United, Hearts) and may have played against Ian Ferguson (Raith) as well. There were two Kevin Morrisons in the East of Scotland League a few years ago, one played for Edinburgh City. If Artur Numan had played against a trialist it would have been, in the old newspaper reports style, A Numan against A Newman.

Jimmy Shaker
Buckie Thistle and Deveronvale both have a player called Sam Robertson on their books, and most recently both were subbed on in the league meeting between the two sides at Princess Royal Park last September. The Buckie one is 3 and 0 against his namesake.
