How else will we know how to construct the statue. Ignore him. The Arbitration hasn't started yet based on media info coming out of Hearts. The names of the arbitrators wont be announced publicly until its completed. Its not a public process, arbitration's based on the guests they've had on Sportsound are nearly always confidential. I imagine we'll get basic information and then an outcome. Then all the fall out following of course... There must be more than three people in the entire country with the legal competence to do the job and there should be a pool from which three available candidates were chosen. That we are no closer to actually filing this fucking nonsense dispute in the bin with barely three weeks to go until the season starts is an utter farce. Its a list of pre-selected names like you said. It can't be someone still sitting as a judge etc either I don't think. (standard legal arbitration stuff I believe) Hearts and Thistle pick one name. SPFL pick the second name. The third name from the list is selected jointly by the individuals selected by Hearts/Thistle & the SPFL. Doubt either side would settle for selecting someone else if the option they want isn't free till Thursday for example. Fillin
From what I understand the "legal case" has all been about the validity of the vote to end the season - mostly over the suspicious circumstances around the Dundee vote and what Hearts and Partick aim to do is to nullify that vote, meaning they are still in their previous divisions. Is it viable that Hearts/Partick win the case but the SPFL then call a new vote of clubs to end last season - rectifying any procedural errors that caused the previous one to be invalid? With a No vote at that point causing all sorts of logistical and commercial disruption it would become even more of a landslide victory for Yes, wouldn't it?

Hearts and Thistle already know a revote would go the same way as the old one, and there would be major impracticalities given that the season starts in a fortnight. They want to overrule the vote entirely and substitute it with what they want, or alternatively take a big bag of cash instead.

BBC I agree there needs to be a change, it needs taken out of the hands of club chairmen and to an independant panel... but would he be saying this if hearts weren't bottom of the league? I think not.
