It's often because they're insecure inverted snobs who worry that eating something with a foreign sounding name, like a ciabatta, will make them look like wimps. Any Dundee based sandwich lovers should check out Tayble Deli on Bank Street. Some top quality pieces on offer there. The Club sandwich is also a solid performer, particularly when on holiday in Europe. A good old fashioned ploughmans has its place. Yes sir. I mixed sliced chicken breast, pesto, mayo and olives and whacked that in a roll with some salad leaves for lunch, was outstanding. And let's not forget the real MVP of lockdown, the old toastie machine. My granny used to make them and I have continued this probably 1920s practice into the current day. Fish finger sandwich is great as well. Get loads of tomato and tartar sauce on there!Banana sandwiches are ace.
