Serious incident in Glasgow

Recommended Posts

No mate, what’s happened is that the emergency call has gone in and the responder has asked the crucial question ‘what colour is the attacker?’. After learning that the attacker is, in fact, non-white, he has hit the ‘send armed response unit’ button as opposed to the ‘send social services’ one. It’s clear as day. ACAB

In any incident an accurate description of the perpetrator is essential. How else would you ascertain who you were looking for without asking that question ? It's 100% reasonable in the circumstances and has no racial connotations what so ever. A serial stabber is a serial stabber regardless of race or religion and needs stopped by any means ASAP.

That account followed me despite the fact that I've got zero tweets and zero retweets, no profile pic.

When I looked at it got all the hallmarks of a bot account with big followers and following and not many tweets but loads of retweets. If it's not it's strange account.

It does look very weird, I think we need @SweeperDee to swear a blood oath that she is a genuine SJW and not a right wing troll or bot.

Blood oath that as far as I know, she’s an insufferable c**t, which coincides with what her twitter feed is like.

She may be an insufferable c**t, but you haven't answered the question that is in every P&Bers mind- is she a wid?

There aren't that many countries in the world where police are not routinely armed. Norway, Iceland, Ireland, the Maldives, New Zealand, and the UK (excepting NI) are about the only countries where police officers do not carry firearms as a rule.

According to Wikipedia a survey of members of the Police Federation of England and Wales a few years ago found 66 per cent of members were against being routinely armed and this was down from 82 per cent against a decade ago.

There was a few questions asked the Clydebank story at the time. Like was the guy surrendering and the cops shot him anyway.

Yeah, there were eyewitnesses who claimed that to be the case. I was unable to find any other articles about it online though and there seems to be no mention of alternate accounts of what happened in the report I did find.

No, I don't think thats how that post reads at all. The success of terrorists who have perpetrated this kind of terror attack is that it influences the day to day lives, fears and then responses of people. What happened with this incident is likely to have been hugely influenced by the absolute fear now instilled in this country by previous attacks of this nature. That's what they are going for. This one appears to show it has worked. The police have had to change the way they respond because of the very real fear we have as a society.

Well done on blatantly missing my point. I quite clearly have not speculated on the motives of this attacker  I have only correctly pointed out that knife spree attacks are a fairly new and effective technique for terrorists.

Drivel.

I walk past the Argyle Hotel every day on ma way to work and have felt like stabbing most of the jakeballs and junkies who hang about their each morning. Also walked past two or three rammiea and arguments atween junkies since lockdown. Almost amazed there's been two incidents and neither have involved that place

The high flats hidden behind office blocks and hotels at the now gone Anderston Bus Station are a dumping ground for drug addicts. Mate was a concierge in the flats and they were finding folks dead behind the door almost weekly.
