We're likely going to see some mental stuff in the next couple of weeks - random punters being monstered in the national press for off colour jokes on social media, losing their jobs etc. Hopefully will put in perspective next time an art gallery stops stocking an artist's postcards or a comedian has a gig cancelled for flashing an audience member but I'm not holding me breath!

Kevin Bridges getting a hard time from the royal supporting nutters cause of a few completely innocuous jokes he started the show with.

"The doors were at half 6 and she just about manged to hold on, it's what she would have wanted"

"Let's be honest, she won't be the only old woman to die this winter"

There seems to be a huge crossover between the anti-woke "you cant joke about anything these days" brigade and the people getting riled up by people not caring about her maj dying at 96. Gammons.

Could be some mileage in this over the next few days.

It's always amusing to see which examples of "cancel culture" get the free speech warriors riled up on this thread.

Despite their protestations, it only ever seems to be c***s espousing the kind of cuntery that they themselves are known for.

Surely that's a statement of fact

These people seem to be under the impression being 'Gender Critical' is a protected characteristic. It's no such thing. You have the right to hold these views, and any company or individual absolutely has the right to refuse to do business with you because of them. There is no 'discrimination' here, and it's insulting to genuine cases to try and pretend otherwise.

In order for there to be discrimination you would have to prove that the refusal to tender a service was based entirely on your possession of one or more protected characteristics. Being Gender Critical is a choice, and a perfectly valid one, but it's no more a protected characteristic than having blue as your favourite colour, or ABBA as your favourite band is. Businesses can refuse to do business with you and have no need to explain why. It's up to you to prove they were motivated purely by your protected characteristic, and since there isn't one in play here, it's ridiculous to shout 'discrimination'.

I can’t cancel my PayPal account because I am unable to log into it. It was set up on an old phone number and now I have no access and cannot unlock. In my own way I’ve been boycotting PayPal for many years.

The Toadmeister and free speech advocate's Daily Sceptic had quite the headline, followed by quite an apology.

Vaccine Deaths Outnumber Covid Deaths in U.S. Households, Two New Polls Confirm

Quote

Postscript: It has been pointed out that data from death certificates collected by the CDC say 1,032,462 deaths had been attributed to COVID-19 on death certificates since the pandemic began as of August 6th 2022, the same date this article was published, with COVID-19 listed as the underlying cause of death for at least 90% of those deaths. In contrast, only nine COVID-19 vaccine deaths have been confirmed, all cases of TTS caused by the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
